“First time I have visited the lake's for many years..long before the Café existed. I'm blown away with the Café. Such a wide range of food on the menu to suit most people. Really friendly and helpful staff, gave it a more personal approach and the café itself was beautifully presented with gorgeous pictures of the lake's taken at different seasons and such cozy and comfortable seating. There's outdoor seating for warmer weather. Very pleasantly surprised by this beautiful little gem of a place Great for a celebration or just a catch up with your friends and/or family. Definitely one of my new favourite places..including the wildlife and rescue cat's and chickens. I highly recommend that you go there and experience it for yourselves.”

“We dropped in to The Kitchen for a quick breakfast of coffee and croissants and were not disappointed by the quality of food and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. My only complaint is the temperature in the cafe - probably around 15/16°C. Brrrrr! This is not the first time we have experienced it so cold here - it's the reason we stopped coming here regularly.”

I tried the mackerel patè which was homemade (amazing!) and the fish & chips and beef burger were also great. The place is quaint and beautiful, would love to come back in the summer to make the most of the outside space. Would absolutely recommend a visit!”

“The cafe serves authentic and classic Hong Kong style tea house (茶餐廳) food. I would highly recommend the HK tea, crispy pork chop bun, French toast, fried beef ho fun, baked pork chop rice and iced red bean coconut drink. Staff are very friendly and service is fast.”
