“We went to Houdini's as part of my 30th birthday and did the Titanic room. There were 6 of us and we managed to complete the room in just over 44 minutes getting us onto the leaderboard! The room was great fun and had some surprises which always adds to the atmosphere. Our host Nathan was also incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you to you for a lovely evening!”

“River studios and all its staff have been nothing but fantastic for my whole family I can’t thank them enough…it’s a friendly comfortable very special place where you can be yourself and are encouraged to be creative and exceed your talents and goals. My daughter especially enjoyed her singing lessons with Crystal cooper a teacher there that is very talented and inspires many. She’s a bubbly happy exciting artist that made our 12 year old motivated and come alive at the mic, if your after singing I recommend her 100%”

“Such a great experience, the staff were so awesome, charismatic and the act added so much. The room itself was really well done and the puzzles were elaborate enough to pose a real challenge (we didn’t get out without serious help but that might say more about us than the puzzles). We’re already looking to come here again as soon as we can.”

“Great fun and something different to do with mates. 3 of us went for an hour and hit about 80 balls each so you get plenty of goes for your money (£15pp) Staff were friendly, you could pick your own music to play and there's table football and a bar. All in all, a great little venue and a lot of fun! ⚾”

“Fantastic area great for my daughter who was 6. I feel like an hour is a little too short, especially during the quieter periods. Great for kids with confidence, if they're a little low on it they'll need an adult with them.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed my experience of watching movie at the Showcase. On my first visit, I had to buy the premier tickets to the movie I wanted to watch, because all others were sold out. But it was worth the price. It cost £16.50 per person and it was a luxurious experience. The tickets included a sweet/savoury snack box.”

“Ahh what can I say? We had a lovely time here at the children's pleasure park! The two guys were friendly and helpful, great with the kids! £10 for 16 tokens, the slides are 1 token for 4 rides, the kids loved it! Even my 13 year old niece had fun! Yes it's old fashioned but that's the charm! It's a calm, quaint, relaxed children's park! If you're wanting fast paced thrill rides do not come here. I would recommend this place to anyone with a younger family or the oldies that are young at heart!! They sell ice-cream, cold and hot drinks, there is even a ladies talking bench! They're coming up to their 50th year soon, let's keep this place going!”

“An overnight stay for NYE, we had a voucher to use so upgraded to a suite and the room was huge, with a separate living space. My one grumble, although this applies to a lot of hotels, the room was so dark that getting ready was really difficult. I don't really want to do make up etc in the bathroom after having a shower as the room is hot, but the rest of the room was too dark to see. Bed was very comfy, the view of the cricket ground was incredible, and the breakfast was also brilliant with so much choice.”

“Recommended! I stayed collectively for 6 nights whilst my mum was in hospital. Had to keep extending my stay. Staff were really good to me. Room and facilities were great including the wifi. Shame there’s no gym but when to the diving/gym complex over the road so no issues. Great location for the shopping centre. Breakfast was great. Parking is £5 per day. Definitely stay here again but hopefully under better circumstances. Thanks to everyone at Moxy for making me feel comfortable!”

“Helpful and happy security guard, staff always try their best to help especially the older ones. Could do with a better range of household bulbs in stock but it looks like they are concentrating on Christmas decorations at the moment.....”

“My kids so love this place. Lots of things to do for babies and toddlers... and for parents too. Everything is clean, including the toilets. The activity area is very well equipped, lots of space for everyone. Dining area is neat and tidy, food is tasty and won't cost the world. The interactive room is a special one, my 4 yrs old loves it.”

“A nice place. Bowling lanes looked clean and in good repair. Scoring computer was easy to use. A few arcade machines.None terribly old. Diner and Bar too. Good quality and good value. Some items from menu can be ordered to be served at the bowling lanes. Staff all pleasant and friendly. Special mention for Katie who served everybody with a massive smile at all times.”

“The drinks are awesome! Honestly one of the best bars in Southampton. The music is great as well as the service :) I would go again! The 2-4-1 deal is perfect for big groups, I would recommend it!!!! Dj Matt is the best 10/10!!”

“Good place to stay. Right in the city but on the edge of Watts Park. Very quiet in the room. Air con was an added bonus. We didn't use the in-house restaurant as there was so much choice just a few minutes walk away. There is no car park on site but we came by train a five minute walk from the Premier Inn.”

“We had a lovely evening, family dinner, 3 children 2 adults, our waitress Sima which we believe is also the manger, brilliant and a credit to the restauarnt, food was lovely, youngest was 9 and he ate every mouthful, when taking children to restaurants these are the most important people at the table, and the whole dinner went smoothly. Pictures don't do the food justice, for a chain restaurant you did good. Thank you. Keep it up.”

“Booked a table here for carvery after using the Alpine facility's (doughnutting) was not disappointed. The meat was delicious so were the Roasts and Yorkshire puds. Enjoyed a small selection of veg, and pigs jn blankets. Honestly was the nicest carvery in a long time. Will be back. Don't have photos to busy enjoying it”

“Great space for under 3 year olds with a lot more than some of the other local softplays for that age group. Makes the price (bit more expensive than others) worth it. More seating near this area so my husband and I can take turns playing with our little one and the other can still watch from outside.”

“We scored this hotel a five mostly because of the staff. Incredibly helpful, very friendly and really well trained. We had an accessible room which had plenty of space and good bathroom. Room was spotless. Hallways to the rooms are tired with a slightly musty smell but not enough to be a big worry. Evening meal was far tastier than expected for holiday Inn, fish was nicely cooked. But as you would expect a little pricey. Room service breakfast was nice. Plenty of disabled parking out front with easy access into reception and lifts. We also had a visiting seagull spending his time watching us eat our breakfast! Will definitely stay again when we cruise from the port.”
