“Received a gift voucher for my birthday as I’ve signed up for my first ever 10k race. I really appreciated the thorough and personal service I received. Was in the shop for nearly an hour. Tried on a range of shoes, in depth conversation about my needs, videoed running to check gait and how different shoes corrected some of my issues. “I have used this store mainly for footwear (I had a marvellous pair of slippers from here). For the first time ever I had to return a pair of walking boots as the leather had started to crack. The manager told me he thought it was as the fit was wrong, I thought it looked like faulty leather as one of the cracks was over the hardened toe part and the leather was bubbling at the side. I'd bought Hi-tech boots for years and never had a problem but I had not really taken in to account that my feet had changed,. He informed me that if I had the same pair he would not be able to exchange those. I took his advice and tried some different makes. I came away with a pair of wide fit lowa. I've worn them in the house for a couple of days and they are very comfy. Great service.”

“I was looking to buy buoyancy aids for me and my son. Looking on their website I found the ones that I wanted but checking the availability was shown out of stock. However, I noticed that there were in stock in the Force 4 Chandlery Lymington shop instead. I called them and they said my buoyancy aids will be sent next day to Southampton shop (free of charge). I had a text day day that my buoyancy aids has arrived. All I had to do was to go there and collect them. Excellent service and very friendly people! Would definitely shop again! Thank you!”

“Absolutely excellent GAME store. I forgot to get the name of the advisor who helped me and it's not on the receipt but I knew he was quite new, despite that he was extremely helpful. I purchased a pre-owned Nintendo Switch Lite, he helped me choose between a Switch and Switch Lite with his knowledge of the differences between the two. He then happily went out back and personally searched for the best looking pre-owned device. It looks like it's barely ever been used! I returned a few days later to buy Dark Souls Remastered. On this occasion I was served by an absolutely lovely lady who was happy to reserve the game for me until the next day as I had to wait for my pay to hit my bank. All in all a lovely store, much more helpful than the CeX up the road. Thank you all.”

“I took a visit to the Southampton JD store today. I was with my little neice and nephew. Shopping with small children can sometimes be a little stressful but the store was very calm and the staff were all so helpful. A lady called Taylor in particular was very kind and attentive and made my overall experience very pleasant. Thankyou!”

Sadly I missed out on the mummy dunk release but no point being a little b*tch about it, they were 100% sticking by the rules and sadly my size option wasn’t available, unlike others i saw I didn’t ask for 2 other sizes and I walked away empty handed like a grown up!”

“Happy staff, clean, tidy store. Pricing was dodgy though. Picked up a copy of Hotwheels Supercharged for PlayStation and the price on the label was £12 less than the till wanted. On this occasion I didn't buy anything, but I will always go in there when at the swan centre or at the cinema or bowling alley nearby”
