“Wow. This place does amazing pasties (and the sausage rolls looked stunning too). After a quick pint in the pub next door, we grabbed a couple of steak and blue cheese pasties...then didn't talk to each other for ten minutes as we slowly demolished our lunch. Absolutely the nicest, tastiest pasty I've ever eaten. Good size packed with quality beef, flaky yet slightly moist light pastry and a subtle kick of blue cheese with every mouthful. We're both trying to eat healthily with summer hols coming up but this was the best way to dodge the diet for a day. Excellent value...and we'll be driving over from Portsmouth again soon for more.”

“This is where I buy my coffee. And I use them for a reason. The quality and the price of the beans is second to none. Honestly one of the best coffee roasters in the country, and definitely the best in Winchester. As you can see from my picture, not only do they taste good but they are capable of producing an espresso base and crema that is perfect for late art.”

“After a while since being into Teacups, I was so glad I took a visiting friend here. Overseas visitors always ask me for traditional tea from a teapot in a quaint tea room. This is exactly what they got last week. I had a bacon sandwich that was delicious. The cake display was full of fresh delights...sadly we didn't have room for a slice. Next time. Every table was occupied in the run up to lunch, but walk-ins and bookings both seem to be welcome. Thank you for a lovely visit Alison & Team Teacups!”

“Good selection of beer at a decent price, really friendly staff and a cool atmosphere. Not the kind of place you'd expect to find in the middle of Southampton! Looking forward to going back when things are a bit more normal as I could see a locked up selection of board games I'd want to play after a few beers... I believe they have a good choice of gins too? But it's all about the beer!”

“Amazing restaurant with equally amazing staff (shoutout to Gideon for being so lovely and attentive. As someone who was a bartender and FoH for many years I couldn't commend him more!) and top quality food. Will happily be back to have a drinking night with friends. Incredible atmosphere and even a nice area to have a smoke/vape should you need it. Would rate 10 out of 5 if I could.”

“Visited here for the first time on a Saturday morning I had avocado, eggs and bacon on sourdough it was lovely! My husband had the breakfast roll we thoroughly enjoyed it. We also took away 3 slices of cake all of which were very tasty! Totally recommend the staff are so friendly.”

“Lovely dinner at this family friendly Gastropub. Interesting menu and the food delicious - we had the butternut squash soup and the brickie noodles with crispy duck and teriyaki salmon. A complimentary superb nutty chocolate to end our meal - a home made delicacy to leave a great taste and experience. Highly recommend a visit.”

“Went to have breakfast with my wife and wanted to try a spot place in Woolston. Piggy's is a nice and welcoming little place with friendly staff, comfy chairs and tasty food. I was a bit surprised to find a full English breakfast with a burger patty, but in the end I went with it. Wifey loved the milkshake.”

“An upper scale Indian experience in the heart of High street Southampton. Who would have thought a thousands years ago that there would be an awesome Indian restaurant right beside the venerable Red Lion! Friendly and engaging owner and attentive service. If the poppadums are excellent as a starter then all else follows suit, the butter chicken's sauce has depth in its flavour, the starters from the monkfish, to the kur Kur crab, scallops, are very good. Several Naan options and the plain one is already good. Wash it down with mango Lassi which is also great. Can get busy so reservations are recommended.”

“The atmosphere is absolutely inviting with the Gipsy Kings song playing in the background. They have a lovely selection of wines. The meat is served on a cutting board with a side of fries of your choice. The prawns are a little bland and maybe overcooked.”

“Wonderful bacon bap served here, fresh bap, plenty of bacon served in a foil bag to keep it warm when taken away. Brilliant friendly staff who offered to cook 3 baps fresh for me. Well worth the wait. Definitely going there again.”
