“We had an evening mid-week meal starting with delicious lentil balls in yoghurt and tamarind, sprinkled with pomegranate seeds (dahi bhalle). Very delicate taste, yet full of flavour. That was followed by very well prepared flattened rice (poha), an Indian dish that is relatively hard to find in other Indian restaurants around Melbourne. They can make it milder or hotter according to your preference. We also had paneer naan that came with little side servings of home-made butter, mango chutney and excellent “fluffy” yoghurt. Cafe Kisna - highly recommended.”

“Ordered the egg bacon cheese sandwich and breakfast roll, the latter was delicious. I'm not a bbq sauce person, but this bbq sauce in the breakfast roll was tasty. Cuppucino was good too! The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Overall, would recommend this place to everyone, especially for tourists who are going to pick up their rental cars nearby.”

“I have been to this place several times, and it is still my top choice for brunch. It is a place that is managed with great care and attention. Very enjoy the cozy atmosphere here, and the waitstaff are super friendly. They have some skincare products and items that are perfect to take good care of yourself right at the entrance. I love that I can bring my dog along and sit in their courtyard. They are extremely welcoming my furry kid. The coffee successfully put me in a delightful mood :) I also like the daily menu and occasionally try out the special menu. Definitely will be back again.”

“Always welcoming and a great place to relax with a drink (or two). The lovely music on the weekend is perfect for the whole family. Even though I'm not a beer drinker I've been enjoying trying out the different seltzers over the summer. The staff are lovely, attentive and knowledgeable. “Crying tears of joy to find a Malaysian restaurant near Geelong. The nasi kerabu is just amazing, everything cooked perfectly and the salad is so fresh and crunchy. The keropok lekor is delicious!! Food came out warm in 10 minutes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND I will be back!!!”

When we travel outside Melbourne, we do not expect too much from cafes (sorry regional cafes mostly disappoint) but this was a welcome surprise. Menu is straightforward and small. I like it. Do few things but do it well. Food is great. Service is very welcoming. I will definately visit again when in Ballarat for my soccer games.”

“2022 April. Prices may have gone up slightly but still very reasonable. Takeaways main dish servings are generous. Love its Sotong sambal and beef curry. 2021 June. Hidden in the quiet Doveton neighbourhood. Enjoy the authentic malay cuisine dishes from its bain-marie. Wooo yummy beef lung and crispy fried fish in hot spicy gravy. We went for its meal dish (2 meats + 1 veg). GENEROUS serving and reasonable price. Finished off with a cup of HOT teh tarik in this wintry weather.”

Ordered the beef burger - was tasty, used fresh ingredients, was a perfect portion and delivered quickly. Honestly couldn’t have asked for better - certainly not for a very reasonable $12.”
