“Ding ding! Bellboy is here to help. If you’re in need of some sustenance then you are at the right place. Dirk and I strolled on down for brunch as a welcome home to Dirk who had just returned from his research trip to study the use of artificial sweeteners in North Melbourne. I had perfectly scrambled eggs and the crispiest bacon I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The staff were also super friendly and the venue is light and bright. Thank you Bellboy.”

“This cafe has been a mainstay at the plaza for years and keeps delivering...good coffee and snacks, breakfast and lunch. Well priced and plenty of seating available. A good honest approach in providing, old fashioned service and making sure the customer is happy. The fit-out is not the most modern, or high end fashion set. But who cares you can have a great meal at a down to earth place and I believe you won't leave hungry.⛾”

“Sign outside said New Northcote Tavern, so was a tad confusing. Plenty of parking in the Brickworks shopping centre underground car park. Tavern/Brewery is outside the shopping centre on the corner at the back, facing apartments. Has large inside dining with pool table and undercover outside tables. Good pub menu, large serves. We were sharing a fish and chips and triple cheese pizza, see photo.”

“So many things to do! So glad this great apartment was available for our stay this time! Booked out last visit. Just love having a birds eye view of the city with floor to ceiling glass. Spectacular at night! Found new cafes & shops on High St but old favourites still there thankfully. Walked down to the Westgarth Theatre and took a glass of prosecco in to watch a movie. Love doing that! Quick ride on the train from Merri Station got us to the new Exhibition at MoMA & fun of writing our names & birth dates on the wall. Really is an ideally located apartment!”

“Marion at the high street northcote store was so helpful! Gave me honest advice, helped me find the right size, and then made sure it was at another store so I could go get the right pants! “I have been getting my hair done by Madeline and Co for two years now and have been so impressed with their work. I started going there with short, damaged and hair that was breaking and seriously thought i would have to give up on the blonde hair. However, with their expert service and advice my hair has remained blonde and probably the healthiest it has been. I have had many comments on how great the blonder colour is- and and it really does stay a really nice colour (even in a lock down). The staff have always treated myself (and other clients there when i am) with the utmost respect, professionalism and friendliness. They are always willing to go above and beyond with suggestions, help and ensuring you are comfortable the entire time you are in the salon. They are also extremely responsive to messages of assistance outside of my appointments always. I have and would continue to highly recommend the girls there and have nothing bad to say. The salon is so beautiful and always spotless clean, seriously do yourself a favour and check it out, you will not regret it :-)”

“This place has been a cinema and loved by the community for as long as I can remember as we used to come here with my family when I was 5yo. The furniture and cinema seating must be the same or very similar to those I sat on many years ago. This old school feel gives the cinema character. There are many positives about this retro icon of Westgarth with its eclectic decor and a warm and inviting atmosphere. International film festivals are celebrated and art house films are regularly featured here. Come here for an enjoyable experience as well as watch movies that are not offered at the mainstream cinema houses.”

“Amazing food and lovely, open and airy, clean space. Unusually big for a Melbourne Cafe so feels novel to not be cramped! Some nice outdoor seating out the front too. Only one suggestion to improve, which would be enhance the sense of homeliness perhaps with a little more local art or quirky second hand decor as Northcote often is renowned for (may have been there, but I don't recall it). “Easily accommodated for our group of 5. It was busy but the staff had no issue providing us with excellent table service. The food was phenomenal, we ordered; 3070 bagel, breakfast burrito, blueberry pancakes, diced avocado and bruschetta, and the san pedro. Everything tasted amazing.”

“Always a 5 star experience. Last night I had the pasta special. Such great value and delicious. But you know what I enjoy just as much? The delightful service and the lovely ambiance. It's so easy to spend the evening seated at the bar eating delicious good, watching the chefs work and the sun set.”

“My partner and I love Wesley Anne. The atmosphere is always lovey and cozy but never too loud. We do prefer to sit outside as the fire has been silenced over winter. Ordering is super easy and food & drink magically appears. Never a long wait. Good options are great nice to have meat, veg and vegan. It is become our casual date night spot!”
