"I have rented at this place since April 2023. Thankfully, this property works with a program called "Flex". This allows tenants to break up their rent payment every month, on approved credit. I have never had an issue with this complex until January 2024. New management took over at the end of 2023, and everything became impossible to handle with the office. The office never picked up the phone, management was rude and condescending, and the pool began to be closed as a "punishment" for poor property maintenance. In January 2024, Flex deposited the payment late to the property, so I was charged an additional $300 and a 5-day notice was posted to my door on the morning of the 5th day. I walked into the office and property agent Jessica, agreed to remove these fees, as the payment was not late due to my error. Something similar happened in February 2024, when Flex paid the wrong amount to the property. Flex does not allow one to control the amount that is paid; Flex only pays what is listed on the billing statement. Today, I call and speak with Jessica again about the ongoing issue. I am told that Newport does not take responsibility for this program and I am now due for over $150 for a mistake that was not made by me. I would not recommend anyone to rent from this place. The parking is horrible, maintenance is lazy and incompetent, and I have been waiting for someone to patch a hole outside of my apartment for over 6 months. Management is rude and condescending. The value of this place DOES NOT justify the price paid. I will NOT be renewing my lease with this complex."

"If I could give less stars I would! This is the worst complex I have ever lived in. The staff in the office is rude and the maintenance team clear maintenance request without fixing the issues. The pool is closed on Sundays due to the office being closed and the maintenance person that lives on site will not open the pool. The pool is also closed two days after any holidays due to “cleaning”. The area has gone down and kids unattended are constantly in the pool unsupervised. My AC went out in the middle of summer and they brought me a portable AC unit and I had to wait for the weekend to be over for it to be fixed. This is unacceptable when I have a pug whom needs constant cool air to breathe and not overheat. They charge for trash pick up even when the third party constantly fails to pick up my trash from the front door. They are charging for the one parking place that is assigned to the unit and the dog park is always full of dog poop.Rh amizon lockers are located in the gym and only open furring office hours, how is it possible to get my packages when I work those same hours? There is no outgoing mail box and had to resort to driving to the post office to mail my mail. This is just a few of the many issues I had come across while living at Newport. Thankfully I have moved out and now in a complex that I receive the amenities I am paying for. I do not recommend anyone to move to Newport, nor do I recommend Western Welth communities. Very poor service, very poorly run community!!! -100"

"Okay so I'm on my 3rd month living here at Newport apartments and have had my share of downs for sure. for one, things my unrenovated unit keep breaking down due to just being too old. Have went through having to deal with no hot water for a week because of a water heater going out to having to leave my unit because the breaker to my unit(only)stopped working. That's life though, I understand it but that being said my biggest concern is that when I have to come out of pocket because their unit starts falling apart and have to pay rent a day or two late they tell me that they can't help me so I get a five day notice that scares my kids even though I phisically come to the office to stay in contact and tell them my situation. Last two months I've had to pay late fees because of extra money needing to be spent on taking showers somewhere else or driving back and forth to places because we had to live in another empty unit. There's are pros to this place but the last two months have been less than the first, trash service doesn't come but I'm told it's in the rent, work orders have gotten slower or less efficient my ac has been leaking worse after they said they fixed it , so I left and emergency message couple days ago and still haven't received a visit or call. I hope this gets better because life is hard enough , shouldn't be stressed like this at HOME."

"Maintenance can sometimes take a while, but they’ll do their job. Never had any trouble w/ the ac unit, had some trouble with dishwasher, but got it fixed & no problem after that… stuff like cabinets & fridge are old, but they work well. Never had a problem with washing & dryer machine. I do have to say that they are in a ghetto area, ALWAYS lock your cars. One time i forgot to lock my car & left wallet inside (dumb me, but i didn’t notice) & the next morning i went into my car & some stuff were out of place, i knew then that somebody went into my car, good thing i only had a small amount of money, later i went around the apartments & found all my ids scattered on the floor behind the apartments. On a second occasion, the day after i went & bought a nail gun (i left it inside truck) thinking nobody was gonna break in the truck or steal anything since it was locked. The following morning went out & saw my window broken & my work tools gone, it was a leaf blower, nail gun (brand new), & some other small stuff. NEVER leave anything valuable inside your car, people don’t respect what isn’t theirs. Wouldn’t recommend to be honest unless it was your last choice"

"I would leave zero stars if i could! Old management is a joke! Could never get ahold on anyone.. new management doesn’t seem to be much better we have some kind of leak going on in the ceiling, maintenance came and looked at it only reason he came and looked at it is because i had to flag him down to come look at the issue, he said it was the roof leaking which is causing the water damage to the ceiling… remind you this has been going on for the last 3 months or so. I finally got him to look at it yesterday but today my ceiling is now laying on the floor and the leak has now gone to the bedroom and has leaked on my TV that is now ruined… oh and last but not least there’s mold everywhere and it smells horrible!!"
