Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix/Avondale

"Stayed here during an ultra marathon weekend. We were exhausted after running 100 miles. We called the front desk on the morning of checkout to ask for a late checkout at noon. Front desk authorized it. Then starting at 11:01 am the house keeping knocked 3 times and the front desk called us RE: late checkout BEFORE 11:50am. Why did the front desk not communicate this to the house keeping staff at 9:45 when they authorized it? Then, as we are loading our car at 11:42, our key card stops working."

"I made a reservation but when I tried to check in the lady at the front desk couldn't find me, had to giver her my confirmation number and eventually she gave me my key. Next thing I know I'm charged twice for one night (I stayed two nights and got charged for 3 nights) and when I asked the new gentleman at the front desk before check out he stated it was a fee for extending my stay which I did not. I stayed as long as I said I would a little less if anything. On top of that there was a random 33$ charge for no reason I was told all taxes and fees were included in the final price I didn't get cleaning or room services I didn't use anything in there. The hallways were trashed because rooms had to leave their trash outside the doors since the cleaning services they asked for never came, meanwhile a few people who didn't order cleaning services were interrupted before check out by the cleaners who they didn't ask for in the first place. First time having a bad experience at a hotel even Motels have more integrity than this place."

"This place was awful. The carpets were stained. The AC wasn’t working. The fitted bed sheet wasn’t even pulled over one corner of the bed. There were three lumpy, flat pillows. The shower was old and ugly and was designed so that the only way you can turn it on is to get sprayed with cold water. We booked a King bed and got a Queen bed. The bed wasn’t supportive. We were charged for parking when the listing said free parking."

"We got in late after a long day Michelle was excellent! She was so nice and friendly and checked us in quickly! She definitely gave us the best service had the best attitude for it being late in the night! I would give her 10 stars if I could!!! But the morning staff was another situation and ruined the stay. We tried doing a late check out an hour more extra since we had came in late the night before the staff really rudely said "its first come first serve you needed to call earlier in the morning." I said so its not possible to at least for "30 min" she said "No sorry I dont know what to tell you than check out is at 11am". I didnt want to argue but it was upsetting then as we were getting ready before 11am a housekeeper knocked on the door and told us check out was at 11am making it seem like we were being kicked out. Once we finished up they knocked again asking if we were leaving because it was 11:10am and check out was at 11am. I have never felt like I was being rushed and kicked out by any staff at any other hotel. I was surprised for this coming from the Hilton as we left and walked by the lobby I expected a full lobby of people trying to get into their rooms but it was empty and just found the front desk staff chit chatting. I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE IF YOU LIKE TO SLEEP IN AND DO A LATE CHECK OUT!!! Dont even bother!"

"The price was right within my budget! Rooms were very nice and clean. The lobby area offered so much for those travel across state. Jake at the front check-in desk is awesome! He provided such great customer service and was very nice. Kudos to Jake, appreciate him. Also, the young lady "hate that I can't remember her name" was awesome! She kept the bar area clean, made the best drinks, wonderful personally, and great customer service. By all means, best experience and best hotel I've stayed at in a very long time."
