"I’m seriously considering breaking my lease! If my kid wasn’t in school it would already be done. I’ve lived in several apartments so this is not my first rodeo. I understand there will be noise but kids over my head sounding like they’re playing tackle football, jumping off furniture, speed racing from sun up to sun down is ridiculous. So don’t expect moving here you will be able to enjoy a relaxing day or weekend at home where you pay rent because that won’t happen here. Oh and the quiet hours that’s stated in the lease! Just words they are not enforced!"

"Safe, quiet, very responsive leasing and maintenance staff, spacious unit, large windows that allow plenty of sun, attached garage and private entrance are essential amenities, snow removal and trash removal (no dumpsters!) are wonderful perks, beautifully landscaped grounds, very affluent neigborhood, extremely close to any major store/retailer you can think of, plus tons of restaurants, West Bloomfield nature trailhead just two miles away, gorgeous Walled Lake and Pavillion Shore Park only half a mile away!"

"The leasing office is not helpful at all. Exchanged a few emails aaking for pricing and to come in for a tour. She (Asia) would not let me come in, did not answer any of my questions or give me pricing and simply just directed me to their website to apply. Why would I apply not knowing how much it cost or what it looks like, lication, etc.? Based on the 1st impression of them not wanting my business, I cant imagine they would be very helpful once renting from them so I will go elsewhere."

"I stayed at the Brownstones for approximately 6 years and really enjoyed my time here. Our apartment was quite, in a great neighborhood with great schools and very centrally located to highways, stores and mall. The staff here is great and always promptly responded to any type of service call. The apartments are roomy, some floor plans with high cathedral ceilings, which are very nice. Overall, this was a great experience for our family! My only recommendation to management is to think about updating/upgrading the bathrooms and kitchens a little. Other than that, no complaints!"

"I lived here for two years in a lower, two-bedroom unit. Overall, the experience was okay - not terrible, and not wonderful. The quality of the unit is not worth the rent payment, in my opinion. The grounds were well-kept and looked nice, but you can tell that Singh Management does not invest a lot in the construction of units - cheap materials for cabinets, counters, etc. The appliances that were in the unit when I moved in were quite dated. The biggest annoyance is noise. There is virtually no sound absorption between units (above or adjacent) - it's pretty terrible, actually. I could very easily hear a phone ring and people talking in the unit adjacent to mine. There was one occasion where I actually heard (quite distinctly) people having sex one night in the unit above mine. There were other nights where I could hear someone in an adjacent unit singing, and it sounded like she was doing it in my living room while I was in my bedroom with the door closed. On top of that, Brownstones does not seem to enforce much of a noise violation policy. I had notified them of loud music from an adjacent unit, and children running around and throwing things on the floor in the unit above mine at 10pm. This happened on multiple occasions, but they don't seem to enforce anything unless two separate units make the same complaint. On the positive side, the maintenance crew were always prompt with repairs and were very friendly. The staff at the leasing office were always friendly as well and addressed any questions/concerns I had. I am sure you can find a better value elsewhere, but if you do decide to live here, it's not terrible if you can live with noise issues. Oh, and if you need a second garage door opener, just buy one yourself. They charge a $50 fee (non-refundable) if you ask them for one, which is ridiculous."
