Tru by Hilton Novi Detroit

"Nice looking place, but that's where the good ends. Stayed recently for 1 night. Signs are posted 10pm-6am quiet time. However around 10:30 loud banging started, which can best be described as someone running while stomping and then falling off the bed. This happened about every 3 mins for over 2 1/2 hours. When I called the front desk they're response was we can give you a different room. NO I'd like you to enforce your quiet time policy please. Then in the morning the breakfast consisted of soggy bread that I could toast. Apparently the cook didn't show up, you couldn't do better than soggy toast. When I checked out I voiced my frustration and was told maybe the Manager will give me bonus points on my rewards that I didn't want in the first place. Why do I want points I'm never staying again...."

"I’ve spend a few weeks back to back here recently for work! Great hotel! Love the lounge in the lobby! Great place to sit back on comfy couch and watch TV or to work! Rooms are clean and comfy! I want to say this, Sterling and Kristine are the best! Always attentive and friendly! There’s another young man that works there that stays on his phone and does not do much to clean up or make himself readily available to guest. He was there on the weekends. Overall my experience was great and I highly recommend!"

"Very modern, and new, hotel. The hotel was clean and there was ample parking. We selected this hotel since the price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. NOTE: The rooms have a fridge but no microwave or coffee maker."

"I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times it’s a nice area and affordable. When I stay I never have any issues rather if I made a reservation online or walked in and made one its usually always was a smooth booking. No matter what time. But every time this certain employee who’s an older A/A guy is working there’s ALWAYS an issue booking it’s always an excuse with him as to why I can’t make a reservation like I stated before I never have issues with any other employee when booking. I feel as if he’s just being lazy and doesn’t want to do his job. I even caught him sleep in the lobby before."

"Stayed 3 nights during Thanksgiving weekend to visit family in the area. The Tru exceeded my expectations. All the staff were polite and knowledgeable. They cared about the guests,making my stay the best it could be. Digital key a plus. Rooms are clean and comfortable with hanging hooks,desk space,and mini fridge. Toiletries are in dispensers and smell amazing. Free breakfast was adequate. Gym nicely equipped with free weights,trx,2 treadmills and an elliptical. Close to mall and restaurants"
