"Love this place! Spacious CLEAN rooms, Comfortable beds, front door leads you right into the center of all the action and fun, back door leads to peaceful view of the river with ducks and wildlife, and its affordable! This place is the best of both worlds. The Staff are awesome, kind, down to earth people, who are there for you with any question or concern. They are continuously improving the location and rooms. You will not regret booking with river place inn !!!"
"We stayed in the cabin a few nights. It was in my view a hidden gem in amongst the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge. The bed was as comfortable as any 5 star hotel I have stayed in, and the room was cozy and clean. The view of the river from the hot tub was nice and relaxing. They say location is priceless, well from this place you can take the back road and be at the Mill in 2 minutes and Dollywood is just beyond there. Easy access to the Parkway and all the restaurants you could ever want. Walking distance from the go carts and shopping. Bottom line if you can stay here you won’t regret it. We actually felt very rested and relaxed after staying here."
"We booked one night accommodation and the service we received from the lady checking us in was impeccable! We were in a King room and it was lovely and clean. We asked to stay another night but they were full. In the morning we were told a couple had just canceled and we could move into their room. Which was fantastic and we didn’t have to find another place to stay. Fantastic customer service!"
"We found this hotel after having a horrible experience at the Howard Johnson down the road. We were warned upon check in that they were redoing rooms and it was old and dated, so we knew what to expect. We had a room right next to the office the first night and that was ok but were moved in the second night to the back side by the river. They are trying to grow their grass so there is hay and caution tape up for now. The rooms are dated but they were working on them ever day that we were there. Bed was soft, but comfy. Shower got HOT, the gal that runs the place is the so sweet and anything we needed she was right there to make sure we had it. It's close to some shops and the back road to get around which was helpful. The pancake place in the parking lot is good too. It's not high end but gets the job done. Prices were decent too."
"This was our first time staying here. We had a few issues upon check-in. The first being that we had to call a phone number to get the desk clerk to the front desk so we could be checked in. It was only 8:15 pm and the hours on the door said they were open until 10 or 11. When I walked in, I immediately noticed the broken light fixture on my side of the bed. The dead bolt on the back door didn't move (unable to lock). This was supposed to be a garden room and when I looked outside it was taped off with caution tape with a bunch of straw covering the ground. This was also a non-smoking room with a smoking area right outside the back door. Looking at the bathroom was another disappointment. The ceiling showed possible water damage, the shower wall had a huge crack in it, and the toilet paper was as thin and cheap as you could get. There was a puffy rocker/recliner in the room. The walls behind it showed damage where the paint was scraped off the wall by the chair hitting it. Or possibly by kids spinning around in it and hitting the walls. The bed was decent for one night. The TV was nice, but the remote was missing the back cover making it easy for the batteries to fall out. My husband and I took showers in the morning and the water pressure was just ok. The faucet ran at the same time as the showerhead resulting in us standing in ankle-deep water that wouldn't drain properly. The ice machine required 25-cents to get ice. My husband put in his quarter and we got nothing. We went to checkout and discuss this situation with the desk clerk, and once again she was not there. This was at 10:15 am. I pressed the button, dropped our keys in the "mailbox" and told her we were checking out. Since it's Sunday, there wasn't anyone else we could speak to and we left very disappointed with this establishment. I will not recommend it to others or stay here again."
