The Wayback, Pigeon Forge, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel 2760 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863

"We stayed during the weekend that Gatlinburg was receiving snow in early 2024. The hotel is nestled inside a plaza with other stores next to it & seems almost hidden unless you are paying attention to look for the retro sign. Upon registration, my comrade commented this was the fanciest motel he had ever stayed in. I have to agree with the statement since it looked like a refurbished motel. The rooms are all accessible outside & there is limited parking with only one elevator for the entire side of the building we were at. The rooms were small & well-insulated. We walked into a room set to 70 degrees & it was extremely warm! The bathroom is small but has nice tile & the hair/body products offered are higher-end soaps. I was pleased with the heated pool & the jacuzzi which was fun to enjoy while it was 10 degrees outside. Plenty of towels outside the pool & little igloos with chairs for sitting. Pros They gave us two drink vouchers which we turned in for hot chocolate as we weren't impressed by their alcohol The jacuzzi was amazing Nice warm room & the beds were firm & comfy! Front staff were exceptionally nice! Cons The room we had looked clean but the spare bed had dirty sheets. There were dark brown stains on the side of the bed corners. We opted to not sleep in that bed & didn't want to stress about changing rooms with it snowing outside. I always recommend to check sheets & bed covers. This room is not ideal for families. Way too small an entry area to unload & access the rooms from outside makes for a very noisy night. You can fit one large suitcase & maybe a few small bags. It was not great for us with a child but we made do. Lastly, outside access meant we could hear everyone who walked in the hallway easily. Cars were also easily heard driving down the main road."

"I stayed at The Wayback this past weekend on my trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge to pick up my new puppy! The staff were all very friendly and helpful! But I have to say, the standout for this experience was the bar. At check-in you get a voucher for a drink at the bar. I was traveling solo so I was like sure, why not? Gabe, the bartender, is super personable and makes excellent drinks. I loved chatting with him and honestly would come back just to sit at his bar. The Wayback has a very retro theme seen throughout the whole property. The pool area looked awesome and I can imagine it’s the place to be in the Summer! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

"I don’t even know where to start ! Everything about this place is great! The employees actually look happy and treated us very well during our stay! The food is great and the heated igloos by the pool and hot tub were great! Zack was super helpful and always had a smile on his face, he also told us about a few cool places to visit while we were in the area! I will be coming back! Everything was so clean and tidy in the rooms. I literally have no complaints."

"Just got back from the most amazing stay we’ve ever had in Pigeon Forge. The minute we walked through the doors we were treated with such kindness. John and his staff are simply amazing. The rooms were clean,beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. I love the fact that there is no carpet in the rooms. And the pool area is awesome. The Wayback has such a unique vibe. Marriott has done an exceptional job with this property. We are already planning our next stay at The Wayback. Do yourself a favor and check it out.You won’t be disappointed."

"The minute we pulled in we were greeted by a very friendly young man. He showed us to our suit that was nicely decorated and had two bathrooms, and NO carpet. Score! And the staff made us feel welcome at the bar. We showed up 2 minutes to closing time and they were very happy to serve us and converse. We had breakfast there as well. Everything was delicious and not your typical hotel breakfast. The pool area is really awesome also. It has a bar, walk in pool, fire pits, cabanas with TVs and other lounging spots. Every detail has been well though out in the design. I loved this place."
