"Great hotel in the center of it all in Pigeon Forge. Friendly staff with lots of amenities like the in house coffee shop and Fins Restaurant. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Beware of geese waking you up in the early morning if you have a river room! Avoid the crowds in the off season or through the week!"
"Absolutely amazing place to stay. The views from the room over looking the stream was awesome. The staff and facilities were equally as amazing. I really enjoyed being about to walk to where ever I wanted so I could relax with some tasty beverages. We will be going back!"
"Rooms were very nice and comfortable. I loved they placed music in the halls… it gave a real vacation feel but you can’t heard it in the rooms so it wasn’t disturbing. The rooftop pool was very nice. It was a great place for an adult get away! I can’t wait to go back!"
"We had the best experience! Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We had a beautiful view of the island! Check in and check out was quick and easy. Valet was awesome, they even turned the heated seats on for you. This hotel is in a great location with plenty to do and see on the island and a short drive to most activities in Gatlinburg. The coffee in the coffee shop was wonderful and there were a good amount of flavor options. We can’t wait to come back!"
"To simply put it - We spent $1600 to stay from Thursday-Monday; & it was not worth it AT all. We did get to check in at 10am, rather than 4pm, so that was very nice — Upon checking in, we were notified that we could pay $10 per day to park in a parking lot, right next to public parking, not even valet. OR we could park our car in the public parking but there’s a chance of it getting it towed. It’s still a bit of a walk even at the Margaritaville $10 per night lot. Anyway, the room was VERY dirty, considering how much you pay per night (see attached photos). As soon as we walked in, it was 78° on the thermostat - very muggy and sticky in the room (the hallways are also very hot and stuffy). We noticed the toilet being dirty and not wiped down. There was black mold in the shower. The bathtub was dusty and could’ve used a good wipe down. The pillow on the bench right near the bed was absolutely disgusting, you couldn’t even sit down on it. I wanted to enjoy the huge bathtub, and of course I ran the water and sprayed it down a few times to get any debris out—but still once I filled the tub, and put a bath bomb in it, the water was absolutely horrendous. Again, with the amount of money you spend on this hotel, you would think the cleaning would be absolute perfection. You are definitely paying for location convenience being at The Island. Today (Sunday) we had our ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door, and we headed out around 10:30am. We stopped at the front desk to ask if they could tidy up our room because we had seen them already pass our door; Just empty the trash, restock the towels, and make the bed. We came back, and the bed was not made. Of course that isn’t a big deal, but a sign in the bathroom states “Linens will be changed every 3 days”, and that is clearly not the case. Whenever a shower was to be taken, there would be a HUGE puddle of water outside the shower. For some odd reason there is a gap between the shower glass, but the shower head is facing the way towards the gap. So we would practically use all our towels up to soak up the water. Lastly, the water is extremely drying and dirty feeling. I broke out in a rash all over my face. I also got random red marks on my arms after it touched the bath water. I would highly suggest looking around at other hotels, where it’s cleaner, with a free parking lot within a few steps of the front door."
