"The location of Campus Walk is very convenient to walk from the apartment to the FSU campus. Bus stops and some food places are very near. The maintenance and office people are very nice and helpful. Neighbors are kind and greet each other. The community is clean and facilities are well-maintained. Appreciated. Keep up the good work."
"Roaches everywhere no matter how many traps, bug bombs, or how many times pest control came out they were everywhere. The gates don’t mean anything was followed around by a homeless person begging for money at 7 AM while I was trying to walk my dog. One day there was some kind of red substance on the stairs, I didn’t want to look into that any further. Walls are just cinder blocks, even with that I could hear my neighbors all night, a good nights sleep was hard to get. Don’t be fooled by the friendly faces at the front desk, couldn’t wait for my lease to end. Worst run complex I’ve been a part of."
"Looks like I somehow forgot to review this place. This was my first apartment and the worst living expierence anyone could have. Place is just filthy, and I mean absolutely disgusting. My old unit’s walls and appliances has a yellow crust from previous cigarette smoke. Roaches in every place you could ever imagine. The roaches are everywhere. I would find myself shaking them off me in the middle of the night while I’m sleeping. I’ve had them crawl in my nose and ears as I’m sleeping. They would be in every single cup, bowl, and plate. They would be in my clothes, in the couch, in my sheets, and so on. I would end up killing 15-20 roaches per day and that’s not an exaggeration. After 6 months of living there, my mattress was COVERED in mold and I ended up sleeping on an air matress for the remainder of my miserable stay. The place is unsafe and you never feel content. It was the most miserable 9 months of my life and it feels like I’ll never recover from the trauma this place has imposed. I want whoever reads this to imagine your first time living by yourself included swatting roaches out of your ears and nose in the middle of the night. Never being able to sleep comfortably. Never feeling safe. The place needs to be demolished because these problems are beyond repair. If you currently live here, I understand what you’re going through and life gets better once you leave."
"Nice staff, best apartment I've lived at yet. It suits my needs as a disabled college student. Prompt friendly and knowledgeable maintenence. Good ac. Nice painted white brick walls. Way better than my last place. Could be more affordable for sure"
"This was the absolute WORST complex I’ve ever lived at. Don’t be fooled by the facade of the initially friendly-appearing staff. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! The entire complex has a terrible cockroach problem. ALL my things were overrun by roaches; I repeatedly completed work orders and complained regarding the pest problem. Once a month, they would send pest control, which did little to nothing in terms of actually getting rid of the roaches. I also purchased countless pest control traps, sprays, and bug bombs, but the roaches still kept coming. Cockroaches were literally everywhere (the floors, kitchen counters, inside cabinets, on dishes, inside cups, on clothes, in the bathroom, even crawling on my BED, EVERYWHERE)! The amount of anxiety I felt was unbearable, and the complex failed to aid in achieving a resolution to this HEALTH HAZARD!! On top of this, there is also a horrible humidity problem, exacerbated by external AC units, spreading mold spores everywhere! I literally was so uncomfortable the entire time living here; I was completely disgusted! That’s not even the half of it! Campus Walk smells like the gutter and a smoke shop, truly awful. This complex reeks of smoke because they fail to actually enforce their no smoking policy despite claiming to. I couldn’t even go to my own bathroom without choking on the air because of the smell of weed that was coming in from neighboring apartments through the vents. I constantly had smoke seeping in through the vents and walls from neighboring units. I know someone that has asthma, this was a constantly triggering environment. This is not to mention the experience that I had as my lease was coming to an end, and I could finally move out. The complex had sent out an email communicating their move out procedure, detailing their policy on when keys were expected to be returned, and the holdover fee of $150 that would be charged if keys weren’t turned in on time. Their policy further detailed a protocol of a fee of double prorated rent each day after that, in which the keys weren’t turned in. Unfortunately I was delayed in another country during the time of move out due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances, and thus was limited in my ability to communicate cellularly due to not having reception in that country during the duration of trip abroad, and especially during the time of active travel back to the US on airplanes. The holdover fee was paid via direct deposit from my bank account while I was abroad upon the realization of unavoidable delay in this other country. The complex claims to have repeatedly attempted to contact me via phone, yet never once attempted to contact me through written communication, such as email, which they had on file for me as a designated contact method at the time they failed to reach me. Upon arrival in the U.S., I called Campus Walk to update them on the situation, but they informed me that after repeated failed attempts to contact me via phone, they took it upon themselves to assume abandoned despite being filled with thousands of dollars worth of my furniture and appliances. Campus Walk , further took it upon themselves to make the executive decision that rather than formally processing an eviction against me, which would have legally required them to provide written notice of intent to evict, that they would remove and discard all of my furniture and personally purchased appliances, change the locks and remove me from their system. They claim to have done so out of “courtesy” but never had the courtesy to even send me an email of their intent. Campus Walk did not follow their own protocol as outlined in their own email regarding move out procedure, cost me thousands of dollars in damages, and yet has the audacity to try and impose further claim on my money as a charge correlating to an inaccurate time table, during which my property was disposed of and destroyed AND I did not even have access to open the front door of the apartment due to having the locks changed. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! Campus Walk is the WORST COMPLEX!"
