"The management is completely incompetent and tried to scam me after move out. They charged me 90 dollars for a broken nightstand. Fortunately I had taken pictures of all my furniture before I left and realized that the nightstand that they said was mine was actually a completely different one."

"Nope! Units themselves are fine but too many issues otherwise. The staff is extremely rude and unfriendly. Packages do not get to you for at least 3 days after delivered and they tried to fix this issue which caused packages to get sent back to usps and never received. funny to call it “Onsite security” when the number to call goes to an offsite dispatch who has to contact security for you and it takes at least 15 minutes for security to make their way to the problem. Fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night at least twice a month. We had a bug infestation in our apartment and they refuse to give us a new couch as the one provided is unable to be cleaned. The locks on the doors don’t work and the garage gates are always open so anyone can come into the complex at any time. We had USED cat litter in our hallway for a week before it got cleaned. If you are looking for a place to sleep peacefully this is not it. Walls are extremely thin which doesn’t help when everyone is coming home at 3am. Moved in without a desk chair and part of the couch and took a semester to get the chair. Don’t bother trying to call them about your issues either because they don’t answer the phone. Don’t bother trying to save it with the nice amenities as the hot tubs don’t work! Finally, this apartment is located near a lot of homeless which makes it not walkable to campus past 5 pm without feeling safe"

"I’ve lived here for 2 years and have really enjoyed it. The staff is very helpful and tries their best to resolve resident issues in a timely matter. The maintenance staff is recently new and has improved immensely with responding to maintenance request. Overall I really enjoy living here and definitely recommend it!"

"DO NOT LIVE HERE. Under absolutely no circumstances should anyone live here, the standard's "great amenities" like the hot tubs have not worked once in the TWO YEARS I have lived here, there has been throw up crusted onto the elevator for 3 days now and my fire alarm is blaring at 2:30 am for the second time this month as I write this just to name a few. This place is a hell hole and the employees are incredibly rude and stuckup who all act like doing their incredibly simple jobs is a huge chore. I cannot honestly say enough horrible things about my experience living here and the people that run this place. Be warned that the standard is also in the ghetto with homeless visibly shooting up outside, harassing you every time you turn a corner, and stealing cars out of our "gated garage" regularly. But that brings me to my next point because the gates work only half the time anyways (this is new this year they didn't work at all last year) and the locks on doors are permanently not working. Absolutely ANYONE can walk into this place and it is an extreme hazard, standard is completely aware of it too and just simply doesn't acknowledge. I have found homeless wandering around the complex and in the garage frequently as well. Maintenance is just as horrible and unhelpful and creepily flirt which is terrifying considering they have access to every apartment. They will respond to this comment saying to call about my experience but they won't even bother to take it too. I have honestly never seen such incompetence in my life and I would not recommend this complex to my worst enemy."

"We received charges for our son’s apartment after he moved out for “cleaning fees and furniture removal”. I specifically set up a move out inspection to avoid this from happening. Unfortunately, no one from The Standard showed up for the inspection and when we went to the leasing office at 4pm that day to inquire we were told that inspections were actually not being done (even though we received an email that stated to make an appointment,…and the person I spoke to DID schedule this inspection). I called to speak to a manager regarding the charges and was told that I had to send an email. After several emails disputing these charges and asking for documentation/pictures of what needed to be cleaned/removed we have received absolutely no response. But now we have received notice that the unpaid fees will be sent to collections if not paid immediately. This is very unethical behavior to say the least but I am hoping if enough people write negative reviews they will change their ways and you won’t find yourself in the same unfortunate position."
