"Paper-thin walls, no vent fan in the bathroom... sheets were like sandpaper, and I actually almost took my pillows down to the desk to ask them what the hard lumps in them were, and would they themselves want to sleep on them. They were amazingly uncomfortable. WHO in the world thought a sliding bathroom door with a frosted glass insert was a good idea? When you go into the bathroom at night, and turn on the light, your sleeping partner gets blasted with light from the bathroom! There was no alternate dim lighting in the bathroom. The glass shower door was not hung right and was difficult to open and close. Just cheap cheap cheaply built to emphasize decor over usability. It was a miserable experience. We actually left a day early and drove home rather than spend another night. It was worth whatever we lost in the room charge NOT to have to stay there. I booked this hotel because I've stayed several times at the Springhill Suites in Gainesville, FL. THAT property was comfortable, nonpretentious, the beds were comfy with soft sheets, and I based my choice in Tallahassee off that property. Huge mistake. I only gave service 3 stars because when I checked out a day early, I was not asked if my stay was OK, or for any reason for leaving early. Otherwise, the staff was fairly accommodating. I understand that this is a new property. Yet the wallpaper was already peeling and the a/c already having issues. It's sad, because the location near great dining is a plus, but that's not enough to overlook everything else."

"Very nice hotel, the staff has been professional and courteous. Springhill suites are known for their accommodations, and the room was clean upon arrival. I love the location right off of I-10. The surrounding area is nice. Hotel is minutes away from anything and everything. The breakfast options were great. Will stay at this location again if I'm back in the area."

"Our room was nice and spacious with a small fridge. The night manager was friendly and the Assistant day manager was very friendly and easy to talk to. The location is just a bit hard to get out of in the morning during rush hour."

"This hotel was excellent in every way! Upon arrival the clerk checking us on was very friendly. The room was very nice. Smelled good & clean wow. We first entered! The A/C was ice cold. Only thing in the room that could be improved on is the pillows. They are so flat. The complimentary breakfast each morning was fantastic! Hot coffee with different creamers, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, bagels, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, and you can make waffles! One of the best complimentary breakfast offerings I’ve ever had! This hotel is conveniently located close to all the restaurants and food offerings! Also only about 10 minutes from the Florida State Capitol & Supreme Court for tourist purposes! I’d absolutely recommend this hotel and stay here again"
