"I’ve been living at Aven for a few years now so I can actually give you a true and honest review. With the current manager I’ve seen the most positive changes. 1.Gates are almost never broken. 2. The Property looks cleaner. 3. Work orders get completed in a timely manner. My Water heater and fridge went out, they tried to fix it and nothing worked so they replaced both. 4. New painted parking lines 5. Amenities/Pool looks perfect even in the winter time. 6. Landscaping rocks added to the area outside our breezeway. 7. Always being notified what’s happening in the property thru text messages. 8. I always see the manager walking the property too. I only wish you guys would bring back the hose in the car wash area by the compactor. I used to wash my car there but y’all removed the hose."
"This review is a warning to people who may be looking into this place. It's not worth the headache or the hassel to live here. I've lived here since January 2, 2023. Literally right before I moved in, the issues started. I moved here from Columbus, GA. So that was about a 2 1/2 hour drive. I drove here to view the apartment, as agreed with Takowa in the front office. I get here and the front office manager tells me that I can't view the apartment becasue its not ready. I explained my conversation with Takowa to her but she wouldn't budge, so I drove all this way for nothing. Immediately after moving in, the dishwasher starts to flood and the garbage disposal stops work, all within the first month of moving in. It taked them 3 different maintenance requests to finally come in and properly fix the piping that they had caulked up everywhere which was causing the flooding. After this incident, right at the start of the summer, the A/C went out. We put in several requests and each requests kept getting closed and they kept telling us it was fixed or it wasn't working becasue we had it set too low. I reached out to the regional manager for this area to try and get some help, but she never returned my calls or reached out regarding the broken A/C. Close to 2 months came and went and still no fixed A/C. Once the property manager came to "see for herself" she realized how hot it was in the apartment and within a week's time we had a brand new a/c unit working perfectly, and after complaining about this hassle they gave a $250 credit. We were appreciative, but still not satisified with the experience. They've had to turn the water off in this apartment complex at minimum 5 times in the last year, and they never tell you why or how long. Just hope for the best. In November, a week before Thanksgiving, am ATT technician caused a pipe to burst and flood several apartments. Aven Chastain was unwilling to help us gather the information needed from ATT to file claims for damaged property. They told us that the ATT contractor was there for the property and not the residents and that we were basically on our own. I reported to the BBB and Aven Chastain, of course could not take responsibility or even act like they cared about their residents. I was able to contact ATT myself and get it all situated, but as a renter the property should have done more for the residents. When you complain or bring up concerns they always have an attitude or don't know how to help or can't seem to point you in the right direction for help, and don't bother reaching out to the property management or corporate office, because they won't help either. I won't be renewing here, I've lived in apartments for 10 years, and this is by far the worst experience i've ever had. Proceed with renting here with caution!!"
"don’t live here and expect anyone to address your concerns in a timely manner. Alejandra was nothing but rude & uninterested in speaking to me on the numerous issues I’ve had with my unit — even the property manager isn’t the easiest to deal with. No need to sugar coat property issues or give out false promises if you don’t truly care about your residents! The units themselves are decent (not the cleanest, but definitely spacious, convenient location, and affordable). But god forbid anyone wants to decorate their balcony because that’s not allowed here lol!"
"I’ve lived here for a few months and can’t say I’ve been satisfied. My apartment wasn’t even clean when I moved in (confirmed by their own maintenance staff) & now the leasing office isn’t taking any responsibility for our entire apartment flooding. Thankfully the flood happened over thanksgiving break, but sadly had to spend a few days in a hotel because there had been no progress, updates, or any reassurance on our apartment. I understand the pipe bursting was AT&T’s fault, but it happened on the apartments property so ??? The leasing office staff ensured to keep us updated as our apt was drying out and as you can expect, we didn’t receive a single update. We’ve had to reach out multiple times and this whole situation has been beyond frustrating, as we had important belongings and personal items stored in the apartment. I walked in to the apartment a few days ago to find eight large machines running to dry the place — I kid you not it was 92° in the entire apartment, so please just imagine how much our power bill is going to be lol. My roommate and I have been very nice about it all and are very understanding people, but the LEAST anyone can do is be empathetic towards the situation. We’ve looked past our apartment being dirty, multiple maintenance requests for various things (the maintenance staff is really nice shout out to you guys!), but this has really pushed us over the edge & been really disheartening. Hoping this all gets resolved soon, but wanted to be transparent for those looking into this property."
