"We stayed for oñe night the oñly thing good were the beds and no bugs but we had booked the room onliñe but when we got there they had no record of it ànywhere so we had to leave çall Uber to tàke us to ànother roadway iññ mind u we had to pay for both rooms and were told it would probably take 6 to 8 weeks to be refunded this experience makes me very Leary of booking à hotel oñline"

"YOU BETTER CALL FIRST AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS! I booked a room through Expedia at this hotel on March 28th. for a stay on May 18th. Well when I arrived all the furniture was pulled out into the parking lot, no one was there working, and there was a note taped to the door that they had closed at the end of April! I received no notification via email or phone from Rodeway or Expedia that they had shut down! So there I was with a reservation to a closed down hotel!"

"Reservations made in December of 2022. We got there on 6/11/2023 after driving for 14 hours on motorcycles and found they were closed. Never received any notification. We stayed at at sleep in in Bryson city the next day. Would recommend sleep inn too everyone. We were there 10 days on vacation."

"We were so afraid we didn’t even stay. Went inside to check in and the manager and Maintenance man were outside drinking and rolling up a joint. Guess we know the hotel is in disrepair. Went to the room and the heat and air didn’t work, the fridge didn’t work, the water wasn’t hot at all and the lights didn’t work. Water was dripping on the bed from the ceiling. Went downstairs and asked for another room and she said we are closed for remodel we just didn’t want to give you a refund. So sleep in the room or loose your money. Then they listed us as no shows with choice hotel trying to avoid the refund."

"There is no heat or air in the rooms. Choice hotels messed up our reservations (at another hotel) and said oh we’re being nice we will put you up here. So we pull in and the parking lot and front foyer are awful looking. We go in and are greeted by 2 nice ladies babysitting 2 children (a baby and a toddler). They give me my key I go back the room is disgusting I asked before I went back if they had cleaned it because there was a sign put up that said you must ask for cleaning services. They agreed yes it was clean and no it’s not. Get to the room and there is no heat or air. We go back up to the front desk and explain there’s no heat or air. She says oh yeah we know and they know (choice hotels). Call the customer experience line and they will put you up in a different place for the night. I call and they give me a million reasons why we can’t be moved and don’t see why we need heat or air in our room. They need to shut the hotel down til renovations are completed. This has been an awful experience and ruined our trip"
