"Stay way from this place it’s not safe. First year my daughter had no Ac and they gave her window units that didn’t work well. Second year I got a notice that Arcadia was going to rent to the public. Like grown men sharing space with collage kids. This place is smoke and mirrors. Showed us a room and it was perfect the room we got was just above homeless."
"Living in Arcadia has been one of the worst experiences of my life. The apartment was filthy and musty upon move in. There was bugs in the carpet and all over the window seal. The gate never works. I don’t get off of work until between 1-2 in the morning, one night my tag wouldn’t work and I have a new phone number so I couldn’t exactly use my guest code. I spent almost an HOUR in the middle of the night by myself trying to get in the complex just to go to bed. The trash dumpster is an extremely inconvenient place if you don’t live right next to it, I hope you enjoy loading trash in your car. I’ve had to order my bank card 7 separate times because god forbid the mail is sorted correctly. When I moved in there was no hot water. Upon move in, the couch was literally torn, the washer had mold in it, and the stove was filthy. Do you know what’s still sitting in that apartment? That disgusting couch. I also don’t know how yall feel about washing your clothes in mold, but I refuse to use a washer that god so dirty it molded out. I stayed with my boyfriend from September- December and now I am currently paying two separate rents to avoid having anything to do with Arcadia. That should say a lot. The office people are nice, and I have nothing bad to say about them. However, whoever is the ADULT property manager, needs a new hobby."
"Second year living here and everything has been fine up until they decided to make our unit an 'elite' unit, which we had no say in. The elite package comes with a couch that is smaller than the one we have now and I guess nicer countertops and new furniture. It doesn't seem worth it for the $200 price increase. It's unfortunate that we didn't have a say in this because we were planning to renew our lease until this happened."
"I love living in Arcadia! This is my second year here, and the upgrades including the new gym and the Amazon lockers make the experience even better. The bedrooms and spaces are the largest of any complex in the area and I would 100% recommend to a friend."
"posting so that new renters are aware of this horrible complex I signed a lease with Arcadia Student Living for a 4x4 in Dogwood for the 2021-2022 school year. From the start, management told my roommates and I we would have to move into a 5x5 instead. So the price went from $670 to $700 with the added fee for a furnished apartment. We let it go because we had really high hopes for the complex. Upon arrival the apartment already had a fifth roommate living there who had completely decorated the place and also had a dog. Which was not mentioned prior to move in. The place was disgusting, in no way ready for move in. The manager Kristie told us she went to every room in every building before hand to make sure it was cleaned, obviously a complete lie. Below, I will show the apartment on the day of arrival. Throughout our time at Arcadia, we had roaches, ants, and just constant filth regardless of how much we cleaned. We were constantly congested and getting sick from the amount of hair and dust everywhere. they claim to change the filters every month but this is yet another lie! I could go on and on about this complex but here are the basics - Absolutely filthy - Horrible management and response time - Staff will message you all the time & seems to have a hard time separating personal and professional language - $40 parking spaces that is NOT worth it because others will park there anyway! and limited visitors parking - Ridiculous fees for literally anything - Anyone can rent here, it says “student living” but if a 40 year old man applied to live in an apartment with all girls he could do so - Gate entrance works maybe 60% of the time - Amenities that you are paying for are not even open for majority of the lease - This complex only cares about profiting off renter, not about the actual human being living there. Parents & students please be aware of this horrible horrible complex."
