"I used the online check-in and valet. The valet was very easy to use and good service. After requesting my car, the valet driver Irv brought it out within just a few minute and even loaded my bags. I had no problems with the online check-in and out. The hotel is in a great location and steps from the Spectrum center."
"Best location to the stadium! Literally next door. Decent size fitness center and breakfast was good as well. Valet Kirkland even helped with my excessive amount of heavy bags with a smile. Cute little bar in the lobby and nice 24 hour diner across the street. If you need to be downtown or near the stadium- this place is great!"
"EXCELLENT location for the Charlotte Hornets games. Right beside the arena. The rooms were clean, staff was very friendly, professional and efficient. The water in the kitchen and shower is the hottest of any hotel that we've ever stayed in. If you're in Uptown Charlotte, this is the hotel you want to stay in."
"First off directions on Google had us driving in circles in the dark and pouring rain. The only thing that saved us was the concierge. He was able to direct us to hotel. Google has the hotel off by a block and a half. Valet service was horrible. We pulled up under the overhang and were told to check in then come back to get luggage. Also to pull out from Overhang. After checking in ( great check in staff) we came down only to unload our own luggage in the middle of pouring down rain. When asking for directions for kohls the restaurant we chose the concierge was again great. After dinner we had a couple of drinks in small bar on the 10th floor(also check in area) comfortable chairs overlooking the city. Very nice. Hotel room/suite was a little worn. Only one coffee cup and no coffee. Room service was great. In just a few minutes both things arrived. Woke up about 2 am and found we had no water. So at 6 am I went down to desk and found out a water main broke on the corner. I was able to get 2 bottles of water to make coffee. Water went back on right before checkout time, but no hot water. So we weren't able to take a shower. We werent compensated for this inconvenience either. Breakfast was good. Usual stuff, except no scrambled eggs. Hard boiled ones didn't taste right. We are tossing up whether to make recommendations to hotel or not."
"The best part of this hotel was leaving. Heads up, the only parking option they offer is a $40 valet. They conveniently leave that out at booking. We stood at the front desk for a few minutes without being acknowledged by two front desk people. They only helped us after my partner asked. The overall hotel looks nice on the surface, but it's not great. Our room was gross. Towels had some really gross looking stains, and there was chewed up gum stuck to our ice bucket. The bathroom wasn't clean, and there was no water pressure. We ended up talking to a manager and getting our money back. The Aloft hotel is about a block away, cheaper, and a billion times better than this dump. Do yourself a favor and book literally anywhere but here."
