"I lived in the Gibson while my home was being built. I can't emphasize enough what a negative experience it was. The "secured" fob access door from the garage onto my floor was not only broken for the entirety of my stay, but it didn't even have a handle. The common areas are absolutely filthy and not well cared for. I had 3 packages delivered to the lockers without a code, and the leasing office would not assist me in accessing them (which every other complex I've ever lived in has access to open all lockers- they clearly just didn't want to help me). The apartment above me had a dog that peed off it daily and dripped down all over my furniture, I let the leasing office know, yet it continued. The apartment below me caught on fire and they did not reach out to me to see if my belongings and apartment were okay, they never even responded to my email. Finally when moving out they were so rude and pushy to me to resign despite my experience. I reminded them I never intended to extend since my home was ready and they responded still trying to get me to resign..... I would recommend looking elsewhere in the area before considering singing a lease at the Gibson."

"After a disastrous encounter with another complex, and the need to find an apartment ASAP. I called The Gibson and explained my situation with Mrs. Lakeesha and she was on top of her game. She came through for my daughter and myself. Had an answer within 48 hours. The staff here is super nice and helpful and so far my neighbors are as well. Glad I found them. Our apartment is spacious, clean and very modern."

"DO NOT LIVE HERE. ALL OF THE 1 STAR REVIEWS ARE ABSOLUTELY TRUE AND THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR DAMAGES FOR NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR NEAR $1000 DOLLARS PAST THE DEPOSIT AMOUNT. AS EVERYONE ELSE IS MENTIONING, THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE IN THE PAST AND THE MANAGEMENT THAT TOOK OVER IS TERRIBLE IN ALL WAYS. This place is a complete dumpster, as everyone else is mentioning, and nothing is actually being maintained—dirty hallways, dysfunctional common doors, and safety concerns within the apartment itself. I recently moved out, and they charged me cleaning fees 3 times, full painting, and bathtub resurfacing, for which I asked for photo evidence. With these, I consulted with experts in this field and have been told that all of the images they provided are part of normal wear and tear, for which a landlord cannot charge the tenant. I have lived in multiple apartments throughout and have never failed to get a full security deposit back until the Gibson. After paying $60k+ over the span of 3 years, this is what you will get as a past tenant. I promise there are many better alternatives around Plaza where you will get better rates and quality than here."

For the past 12 months, the complex has undergone an alarming turnover of multiple managers, leading to a lack of consistency in management and a concerning lack of stability. As a resident, it is disheartening to witness the neglect and disregard for the well-being and safety of the tenants. The persisting issue of broken doors over the past six months has become a substantial cause for concern. Doors are not just entryways; they are vital components of safety, security, and privacy. The negligence in addressing this matter has increased the vulnerability of residents, leaving us feeling exposed and unsafe within our own living spaces. Furthermore, the continuous malfunction of the elevators poses an additional obstacle to the everyday lives of the residents. The inconvenience and safety risks associated with malfunctioning elevators have made the simplest tasks, such as accessing one's own residence, unnecessarily arduous. Adding to these woes, the prevalent issue of trash accumulation throughout the complex is a clear indication of the management's neglect for the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the premises. Trash-laden areas not only compromise the visual appeal of the property but also pose health and safety risks to residents. While the management presents a façade of concern, the reality is quite the opposite. Despite reporting these pressing concerns, the management has consistently failed to address and resolve them in a timely manner. It is deeply concerning that such critical safety and maintenance matters are being disregarded and left unattended for extended periods. The dismissive attitude of the management, coupled with the apparent lack of urgency in addressing these issues, paints a grim picture of the Gibson Apartment Complex. As a resident, the thought of having to resolve these maintenance and safety concerns on my own out of sheer necessity is disheartening and unacceptable. To anyone considering moving into the Gibson Apartment Complex, I earnestly advise against it. The multitude of unresolved issues, frequent turnover in management, and the evident lack of concern towards the welfare of residents make this complex an unsuitable choice for anyone seeking a safe and comfortable living environment. It is my hope that this review serves as a cautionary tale for prospective tenants and prompts the management to rectify these longstanding issues. It is imperative that the management acknowledges and prioritizes the safety and well-being of its residents. Until tangible improvements are made, I implore all potential residents to save themselves the headache and consider alternative living arrangements. Update: It is disheartening to report that my previous review regarding the Gibson Apartment Complex remains highly relevant. Despite expressing deep concerns and dissatisfaction, several weeks have passed, and no meaningful progress has been made in addressing the longstanding issues that continue to plague this property. The broken doors, a critical safety concern that has persisted for over six months, remain unattended. This essential aspect of security and privacy continues to be compromised, further exacerbating the vulnerability of the residents. In light of the continued neglect and lack of accountability displayed by the management, I feel compelled to reiterate my earnest advice against moving into the Gibson Apartments. The apparent disregard for the residents' well-being and the prolonged neglect of critical maintenance issues make this complex an untenable choice for anyone seeking a safe, comfortable, and respectful living environment. "This deserves 0 stars. This building is a dump. Find better options in the neighborhood, trust me pay the difference for a better experience. The change over the last year is astonishing. There have been 3 different managers, 2 different assistant managers. The elevator is out now for a week with no indication of when it will be repaired. The stairs and garage are gross and dark. The office staff think their charm makes things better, not when you are not getting what you pay for. Don’t move here. Don’t renew. They need to do better."
