"The apartment has good space inside. They show you a space with an architectural wall that you can’t have, but that’s fine. They don’t explain that the lease describes a visitor parking pass and visitor parking, but it is either/or for Greystar. They don’t explain the timeline in which you need to accomplish things to be able move in. They don’t clean the stairways, they don’t fix the broken gates (causing issues if you need a ride share for work or for fun). The front office staff is lovely, but the property is so bad that this won’t be my only review. It’s important to be vigilant about warnings. Greystar might be one of those companies that N.K. Jamison warned us about."
"I like the leasing office team. Manager is gracious. She helps us a lot during both the moving in and moving out process. Though we are moving out, we like walking around the community.It is quiet."
"I have loved living here since we moved in August, but we're now facing problems we didn't have before, which is so disappointing. First, the dumpsters here are downright disgusting. There's always unbagged trash around the dumpster and just scattered everywhere. The apartment seemed to notice this and tried to combat it by adding valet trash service, which is a great idea except nothing has changed in that regard. Dumpsters are still disgusting. And now, we have neighbors who continually throw their unbagged trash on top of ours, resulting in a notice from valet trash that we are at fault when we didn't even do it! I've emailed the apartment about this issue 3 times and have yet to hear back. Their lack of concern for the safety & unsanitary environment they've created is beyond me. I'm sure this ties in to all the roaches I & other residents have seen. I've also heard of other residents have mice in their homes. Secondly, the gate is constantly broken then "fixed." They sent an email saying residents' guests just need to search the directory on the call box to enter, but upon our first guests arriving after the gate has been "fixed" we find out our names are not even on there. So now, we have to drive to the gate everytime to let our guests in. It makes us not even want to have friends and family over because it's just so frustrating. We've also emailed about this issue and got attitude back and they still haven't resolved the issue. Third, the same cars are parked in the visitors spots everyday. Therefore, even when we have visitors they can't even park near our building. Again, I am just so disappointed with the lack of communication & care this company shows for its residents. Families and children live here and it's not ok, especially when rent is so high. Edit: they called me once while I was at work and left me a voicemail. I emailed stating I typically work during their office hours so it's much easier for me to email as I am a receptionist. Haven't heard back since! That's now 4 un-replied to emails."
"My bathroom sink had a slow leak. Elmer, the maintenance man, showed up within 30 minutes of me making the request and unclogged the sink. I was so impressed with the quickness and his professional and kind manner in handling and resolving this request!"
"I am currently a resident at Avana Avebury. My son and I moved into the community in 2021. Since being there, we have experienced pests issues. The palmetto bugs were constantly in our unit, birds built nests along the staircases and now there are mice. I have reached out for pest control several times but there’s been no resolution. The exterminator has been to the unit but states that they aren’t allowed to move anything and maintenance needs to come in. Maintenance has not been in to address this issue I’ve been complaining about for a month. This week, my son has caught 3 mice in our 2 BR unit as we have been taking matters into our own hands. I am uneasy in my home and it seems that Greystar properties does not care. It’s extremely hard to reach anyone by phone and the office hours are inconvenient for the average working person."
