"From the moment I walked into the leasing office I knew I was home. The way Mili greeted me made me feel as if she was waiting on me to show up. It's A very quiet and friendly community. Conveniently located near everything you could need"
"For a YEAR AND A HALF, our apartment would flood EVETY TIME it rained. It took until 2 weeks before we moved for the problem to be temporarily fixed. We CONSTANTLY alerted the rental office, who did absolutely nothing to help us. There were NO compensations made. There was no discount on water or our rent. The only competent staff member was i think his name was Anthony. There was a constant turn over of staff. We were called liars by one of the maintenance men. We tried to go to corporate, but they ALSO did nothing. This is the worst apartment we have EVER stayed at. Nobody here cares about you, just your rent check. The company allows workers and tenants park in handicapped parking spaces even when there are no placards or handicapped license plates. The upstairs neighbors were a nightmare until they moved a few months before us, constantly vacuuming until 2:30 in the morning, constantly moving furniture across the floor until 3 or 4 am. We told the rental office EVERY TIME it happened, about a year and a half. Nothing was ever done."
"I lived here 2 years ago for two years and thank God for freedom! Terrible place. They kept my deposit and still sent my account to collections even though my deposit would have covered whatever they claim I owed when I moved out. The apartments are literally sinking into the ground. My building was not leveled and it felt like you were going to fall off of the balcony if you went out there. It was clear there had been a fire in my unit and they did a rush job of trying to conceal that vs. actually updating the apartment. The units are old and full of mold. The bathroom in the hallway felt like you would fall thru the bottom of it. Old appliances that look like they’re from 1985. Management is barely ever helpful. The only time they reply in a timely manner is when it’s time to pay. I would not recommend this place. They’re gonna try and come under this post to “resolve” the issue but the damage is already done. Now I can’t get a place because yall kept my deposit AND tried to charge me for the last months rent like yall couldn’t use the deposit for it. There is no way I should owe yall $1,700 for these roach and rat infested apartments. My credit has taken a hit because they are slum lords!!! I wish I had pictures of the piss poor living conditions but I don’t."
"I am fortunate to call myself a "Prior Tenant". Oh, they're great on your way in... Once your'e in it's like the Hotel California. I ordered Washer and Dryer, but MoveIn Day surprise: No Washer/Dryer so I ordered from an outside vendor and went weeks without the machines bc Dwell didn't have the courtesy to inform me to do this in advance. I had a rottweiler pottying on the deck above, urinating on my head, dripping from the deck above, onto my deck, for 3 months... They did nothing. The same dog, off-leash, attacked a Yorkie. The Owner of Yorkie called Animal Control, Dwell did not. Incessant Marijuana smoke in my apartment from neighbors, dog messes everywhere outside. Abandoned cars left and right, and other cars without license plates: Fill in those blanks. The best part is that when I fulfilled my lease, my final bill included a monthly rental for the externally rented washer and dryer. Inquired to Dwell to correct the bill by email; received email stating they'd adjust my billing. Sent another email stating it was not adjusted, please explain charges and adjust, then I will pay the correct balance. No response which is their M-O. Instead, Dwell sent my incorrect balance into collections. My billing went from $40.00-something due for the last water bill to $109.00 for something, likely the washer dryer rental that wasn't. I will dispute this bill on principle. It is incorrect. I'd tell anyone who doesn't partake in illegal activities to NOT move there. I communicated all the issues to their Corp office, still nothing. I know $60.00 isn't a lot of money but I'm an easy target: I'm a minority at Dwell by like 95%. Dwell, do NOT patronize me by saying you're sorry I feel this way. These aren't feelings, these are cold, hard facts."
"Beautiful, clean, and quiet community. I've only been here for two months and I love it already. You can't put a price on living in a safe, quiet clean and absolutely beautiful neighborhood. I've walked the property with my dogs, which is well maintained. There is a small but nice dog park next to the main office which is conveniently located a short walk to Harris Teeter. The location couldn't be better. It's an overall awesome place to live so far!"
