"My family recently relocated to Charlotte from the midwest, and our experience living here at Camden Fairview Apartments has been a total nightmare from the very start. As other residents have stated, there are so many different extreme issues taking place at this property, including discriminatory and predatory business practices. Getting in touch with higher-ups, property owners has been a challenge. Staff members at this property have been unable to effectively resolve my concerns, so writing this review has become my last resort. Please Read: I was initially very pleased with the amenities, location, and outer esthetic of our apartment, but quickly after our move-in it became apparent to us that our unit, and this Camden property, has some very serious structural and systemic issues. Currently we have no (working) hot water or efficient heating in our unit. The entire staff here are all aware of the ongoing plumbing issues on this property. Neither Roger nor Fred (maintenance workers) were ever qualified to rectify the issue. It took management 3 months to finally get a plumber into my unit to confirm that my water pipe lines are crossed/shared with other (occupied) units in my building. Unacceptable. From what I’ve gathered, MANY other tenants are having very similar, same issues with their water as well. I was told that All Residents here are billed/ charged monthly for water usage. Yet we received no compensation for this, or any of the other problems that have occurred. I have reported numerous maintenance/ plumbing /service issues from the time we first moved in. The property staff for Camden Fairview has negated from effectively addressing our service requests, in attempt to mask the real problems. I noticed there are several vacant first-floor (renovated) units on our end of the complex which has lead me to question whether there is some sort of perpetual issue that wasn’t/isn’t being disclosed to current or prospective residents. Camden Fairview staff has made inappropriate and insensitive remarks to us throughout this time, as if I/we created these problems ourselves—simply just by moving in here. And as if matters couldn’t get any worse, Just this week, I was informed that someone who works for this property (Camden Fairview) made false claims to the Police that my teenage son was in possession of a firearm at our residence. Based on this lie, Police arrived at my apartment and asked to search my home, at the precise time that I was returning to my apartment from voicing my complaints/concerns about these other issues with (Kayli) who works in the leasing office. We are now victims of harassment. My son has mentioned that he has felt racially profiled just while taking a walk with his hood on his head through our own apartment complex here, and while walking to, and returning from school. My child says he feels unwelcome by staff members and residents here at Camden Fairview just simply by how he looks and his style of dress. It is truly a shame that we have to go through all of this in such a lovely SouthPark community. My family and I are shaken by this entire situation. We shouldn’t have to experience any of this mistreatment or behavior from staff at the place where we pay to call home. The individuals at the property who represent the company lack integrity, and are not to be trusted. Due to the deceptive nature in which they conduct business, We no longer feel safe or secure at this Camden property anymore."
"Worst living experience ever. Cannot wait for my lease to be up in a couple of months. Made it comfortable for me while I have been here. But Lack of care by the staff is disheartening. If I go into all I have gone through all year, I’ll be writing a book. Just know, Lack of quality of service is horrible. Fred & Roger do their best. The 3rd party companies hired for painting and “fixing” up the renovated unit, incompetent and sloppy. The amount of times it looks like my tub has been painted over has me perturbed. The young lady who answers the emergency phone Kayli did her best the couple times we spoke yesterday when my hot water was out all day for the second time this year. Now this is day 2 no hot water. They have told me this is not an emergency. How ? Just very unacceptable and disturbing. When requesting to speak to someone higher up, it falls in deaf ears. The organization as a whole needs new leadership. But of course no one cares or has reached out. I just wish I looked around more before signing this lease. Huge mistake."

"The maintenance team here is great. Our AC has been acting up and Fred from maintenance spent many hours over 2 days working on it. He was very communicative throughout the whole process and we really appreciate his hard work. Thank you Fred!"
"So, paying residents or their visitors can't park on the side of the parking lot but your workers can? Overnight, too? Residents get nasty emails and tow notices but workers are allowed. Cool. Also, the contractors are allowed to live in the community while they work and Camden doesn't do background check on these people. Just think about that for a minute. They have also made a mess wherever they work, left trash everywhere, damaged residents cars with paint, nails all over the parking (I've picked up 4 in the last 2 weeks while walking my dog) park in non parking or other reserved spots that residents pay for, and even have friends come visit while they "work" overnight. This place is turning into the ghetto and it's not even the residents fault!"
