Century University City

"As others have shared, the unit itself is very nice and the price is better than a lot of other apartments in Charlotte currently. At first glance, there is a lot to like about this complex. However, the additional cost that comes with that is having neighbors who have zero respect for others in terms of noise at all hours, cleaning up after their pets and even more extreme issues such as vandalism and theft (multiple car break-ins in a matter of a few months). As mentioned by numerous others, there was no real effort to solve what has to be the worst mail room system of all time which meant everyone at some point dealt with packages being stolen or misplaced. They have rotated management / staff (ex. I spoke to 3 different community managers in a span of 3-4 months) with the previous staff blatantly lying to your face about filing complaints and addressing community wide issues. The current team, to their credit, are very friendly and seem to want to address these issues but there is a LOT that needs to change. I value my ability to sleep without having neighbors shouting outside or stomping around above me at all hours of the night. I also value my safety and security and overall peace of mind. These feel like basic necessities that all tenants should have and unfortunately no amount of pools or nice countertops can substitute for those. Because this complex failed to provide those, I would not choose to live in this community or any other complex owned by this company."

Apartment hunting is stressful enough so the fact she took the time to really answer my questions was a big plus. Amenities and the pool area were nice and the layout of the apartments were spacious. "I moved into this place a few months ago and it's been rather nice here. Its mostly quite and private - kinda tucked away from the main road which is nice. Occasionally I'll hear the bells of the rail line but honestly its not bad. The staff here seem professional and West (the property manager) is very down to earth and nice. Whenever I need maintenance done it is usually quick with no issues. I really like the way how my unit looks - dark grey floors with updated appliances. Not to mention washer and dryers that are NOT stacked so they are actually a decent size. The best part I think is the balcony - great views all around and its sides and top is covered so it feels more private but it doesn't take away from the view. Oh - and there is no fee for parking and you can park in pretty much any spot which is a huge upgrade for me. Would recommend."

Ramatu was my leasing agent, and she really held my hand during the entire process. From the original showing of the apartment to the signing of my lease. She was very knowledgeable and attentive, especially with all the emails I sent her way. She made my move to Charlotte seamless. The apartments themselves look exactly like the website and are very modern, clean, and maintained. 5/5"
