"Since the property has gone under new ownership there has been a delightful transition in quality of living. The location has always been phenomenal in such a fun growing area for young professionals. The property is on the way up in Charlotte. Very much looking forward to continued growth."
"Would strongly recommend anyone looking for an apartment not apply at this location. My sister and I both reached out about availability here. We were both told there were units available. My sister paid 300 dollars to apply for said unit. Once paying 300 dollars she was never reached out to. She has called several times with no response after paying application fee. It seems like once they get the money they choose not to reach out or are not honest about their availability."
"We lived at 300 Optimist for 2 years and really enjoyed our time there at first. We lived in a unit that had an attached garage which was really nice. Being in walking distance to optimist hall and the greenway was also great. The first issue I’d like to note is that our car got towed from the parking lot because our parking pass fell off and was on the center console. $300+ later we tried getting in touch with the leasing office and never heard a response back. We followed up about 4 times within a time span of 2 weeks in hopes of getting a response. Finally after countless attempts, we were able to get in touch with someone. We were not reimbursed for the towing of our car from our own parking lot but regardless a yes or no answer would have been appreciated. 300 Optimist claims to be a “virtual” leasing office yet they don’t respond to emails and overall have poor communication. The leasing office would send out emails on a Monday about the Maintenance team coming in for inspections on that Wednesday. This happened a few times. This is not enough notice. One of the times, we immediately messaged the leasing office to let them know we were out of town and that we would need the maintenance tech who was coming into our apartment to disarm our alarm system (our alarm code was on file)… Never heard a response back. Being that we didn’t hear back, on the day of scheduled inspection, we watched on our camera as the tech entered our apartment. The alarm was going off and he just left because he couldn’t figure out how to turn it off. The inspection was also not completed but we understand how he might have felt panicked by the alarm going off. We had to get our neighbor to enter our apartment to help since the tech was nowhere to be found and we were out of town. The final straw for us was the rent being raised. After 2 years of living there, our rent was raised 15%. We were expecting some type of increase due to inflation, etc. The issue that our neighbor was paying about $500 a month less than us in a comparable unit. The price in which they were trying to increase is not what this apartment is worth with no true amenities, etc."
"I liked it when I first moved in, but some issues are being ignored. I have tried to submit complaints about the noise and parking, and i get no responses. My upstairs neighbor is the most obnoxious, heavy footed person, who apparently rearranges heavy furniture all day long, And as for parking, I have to park down the street because people without passes park in the lot everynight. I cant move necause rent is outrageous everywhere else, but im starting to see why its lower here."
"I must agree with the negative review here: Communications from the the leasing office is abhorrent. I was kept waiting for 7 days only to learn that the apartment I was interested (and waited) to tour after had already been leased/applied for; however, was also kept on the 'leash' for a couple days in case the other one fell through. It is hard enough to tour around and find something you like- sure, not everything works out but the agents should have been much better keeping me updated. Going back through emails this lasted almost 3 weeks."
