Altar'd State Alderwood Mall

"Usually do not shop here because the clothes are extremely overpriced for the mid-range quality, but decided to come in. No one asked if we needed help around the store, so off the bat, didn’t seem inviting. Gal in fitting room was kind, but when i checked out, the girl at the till gave me the wrong amount of money back, gave me $6 but my change was $7. Then the manager came over and gave me my $1, but was so condensing about it, “here’s your, 1 whole dollar”. Seriously? No “sorry about the inconvenience”, or “thanks for shopping”? Maybe don’t steal your customers money. Don’t know if i’ll be coming back based on this bad experience."

"The hours are listed as 10am, I drove from seattle to pick up earrings I already purchased, they weren’t open at 10:10 so I took a walk around the mall to kill time assuming they were running behind and understanding retail. Came back at 10:30 and three people were in the building and refused to let me pick up my items and said that they can’t turn on the register until 11am. I let them know I just needed the earrings I already purchased and she refused. I’ve worked customer service and in retail for 15 years and I know they can honor the time and help me, there’s no security lock on a register. I have never written a poor review but the amount of rudeness from the girl behind the door and the amount of time and resources I used made me feel obligated to warn others. Super cute stuff and sad I’ll have to return the items as it seems like a small owned business. I was going to share with friends getting married as well :(("

"Wow. These ladies are new in town and it shows because they're not tired, stale, stiff, bored, and/or "sterile". They were on point at the door and in the dressing rooms. I only needed to sit and watch while my wife shopped but the colors, lighting, organizing, and other appointments around the store show they know what's important right now - the experience - and nailed it on the head. Wife loved it, and I'm sure she'll be back... often. Can't say how the prices are, or the quality, I'll let the ladies fill you in there... but I certainly didn't mind hanging out here while she tried on stuff. See the pictures for yourself. I'm not wild about the "faith-based" store but they donate to charities and such. Hopefully, they're not following the trends and using their faith-status to play politics with their employees..."
