"Weird, they called me wanting to give a tour but when I mentioned it was for my mom they changed their tune and seemed not interested?? why call then say that you have no availability... not cool at all. I wouldn't recommend."

"I've been living at Oakwood Villa Apartments for about 7 years and I must say, it's been a fantastic experience. The facilities and environment are top-notch, but what truly stands out is the exceptional service provided by Tim, our maintenance guy. He is always prompt, efficient, and goes the extra mile to ensure everything is in perfect order. Tim's dedication and hard work make living here even more enjoyable. I'm truly grateful for all he does"

"I live here for 4 years. Maintenance was quick and done properly for the most part. My neighbors were nice. Good luck turning East onto 13 Mile during rush hour."

"This is the worst apartment complex I've ever stayed in. They have a mice and possum infestation problem. Trash from the dumpsters are all over the place every morning towards the very back because of it. The washer machines are constantly flooded and it takes weeks, sometimes months for management to replace them. The toilets are wobbly and not well bolted to the floor. Called management twice to have maintenance fix it and the "fix" they gave us only lasted a few months. The apartment staff is not helpful at all at solving issues. I was evicted after getting into an argument with my downstairs neighbors who were attempting to bully my father over his brain injury. He suffered from a brain aneurysm back in 2020 and he can pace back and forth and be loud at times. So their solution is to bang on their ceiling loud and cuss at us. I reported this to management and they did absolutely NOTHING to stop it. Dealt with that for months. Could not even walk quietly across the extremely creaky floor to use the bathroom without them banging on the walls and ceiling as retaliation. I finally had enough and when I called my neighbors out, they played the victim card and management sided with them and evicted me knowing I came to them about the situation MONTHS ago and they refused to address it! I would not suggest renting an apartment here to my worst enemy. There's several other apartment complexes in the same area. I'd go with one of those."

"I stayed here for 7 years and recently just left earlier this month, the only thing good about this place is the location. This building is so cheap they put no money into the building. Each one of my neighbors stayed for either 1 year or 2 years then left. NOTHING is upgraded there is always a maintenance issue also they have a high turnover of maintenance men. When it snows in the winter the people that they hire to plow the snow pushes it against everyone’s cars. A lot of the times you have to request to get salt in the buckets, there is always a new leasing agent every 6/7 months. No washing facilities. The walls are paper thin you can hear everything. The garbage cans look terrible and people throw their trash everywhere it looks disgusting, also there has been rats everywhere. In the summer they only make the front of the building “look good” because that’s where the leasing office is. They charge too much for how the apartments look, the most they should charge is 950 I can keep going. Take it from somewhere that has seen it all, it’s cool maybe the first few months or year (MAYBE) but it’s so many other nice apartments in the area that is worth the money. Also all the buildings next door have washing facilities and are really nice (I have friends that stay in one and I’ve toured the others, very pleasant management, but don’t move here to oakwood villa. Advice to management, Do a better job with your grounds, stop hiring just anyone, the lawyer you have working for you is RUDE NOT SYMPATHETIC AND QUITE UNPROFESSIONAL, repaint the outside of the CHIPPING WALLS and UPGRADE YOUR APARTMENTS ."
