"The reason for my 1 star review is because I was asked specifically when I checked in if I wanted my room made up (2 night stay). I said yes. My room was not made up. Cost cutting measures (masquerading presumably under environmental savior pretenses) are a little wafer-thin when you explicitly give the consumer an option and then don’t honor it."

"Very nice place to stay. Well designed and laid out . Room was clean and very well appointed. The breakfast was nice with all the fixings you would expect. Only one small issue. I'n there bid to be "eco friendly" the toilet has no flush power and it took a very long time for the water to heat up . All in all a very neat clean tidy and friendly staffed place to stay!!"

"Amazing location and love the look. Had daily housekeeping and left trash each day and bed and room was uncomfortable. Beautiful property and good management team. Great walking score for local food and drinks."

"Prime location with prime prices. One gets what one paid for though. Very nice rooms. Close to all Royal Oak has to offer. I recommend getting mixed drinks somewhere else though. Wine and beer is fine though and prices on the hotel bar are not crazy if one wants to finish the night on the premises."

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Place Detroit / Royal Oak for two nights while attending a wedding, and I must say, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. First and foremost, cleanliness is a top priority for me when choosing accommodations, and the Hyatt Place did not disappoint. The entire property was impeccably maintained, and our room was spotless upon arrival. It's evident that the staff takes great pride in keeping the hotel in excellent condition. Speaking of the staff, they were a highlight of our stay. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, the staff members were friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met and that we felt welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our overall experience. One of the unexpected delights of our stay was the complimentary breakfast. I have stayed in many hotels that offer free breakfast, but the quality and variety of options exceeded my expectations. There was a wide selection of hot and cold items, including fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, and more. It was a great way to start our day, and it added significant value to our stay. The location of the hotel was also convenient for our purposes, as it was close to the wedding venue and other attractions in the area. Additionally, the parking was easy and hassle-free, which is always a plus. In summary, our stay was a delightful experience. The cleanliness, exceptional staff, and unexpectedly good breakfast made it a standout choice for our wedding weekend.
