"I purchased a 2017 Peterbilt 579 from their fleet. Clean truck, 840k miles on an MX13 Paccar engine. I specifically asked Jim's son, I asked if the motor had ever been opened up or currently have issues.. He said it never had engine work. 130k miles into owning it and the head gasket went at 970k mile (which was expected) my shop is extremely familiar with Paccar, 1st thing they noticed when pulling the head was paint markings on the head bolts which isn't factory. Inside they found a piston had walked itself around inside the block. (motor is scrap iron).From what we have gathered, Piontek Trucking put a head gasket and possibly a new head on and pushed it onto someone else. They could've sold it to me for 20k amd been upfront. Looks like I was taken for a ride by Jim Piontek Trucking!"
