"At this time the landlord named James/Jim that manages this complex doesn’t enforce no smoking policy per contract. Place is filled with smoke due to below tenant and who refuses to stop smoking. Landlord states “it’s not that smoky”, and lashes out at me for complaining about the smell and stated it would be best if I moved out. Jim said I was acting like a child complaining. My clothes, sheets, and my work scrubs smell Smokey while I’m working with patients at the hospital. Landlord has very poor communication once he has your money and is now refusing to give my my partial security deposit back (prorated from the rent) after we both agreed at early termination without a penalty so he could address the issue downstairs. He also refuses to do a walk-through upon me leaving. He didn’t inform me our agreement changed until I notified him that I found another place to live. That is the time he told me he’s keeping security deposit. Many other places in Anchorage to stay; please note the above."
