"Cedar Alley is an AMAZING find for a cozy, cottage style house while staying in Anchorage. It has the feel of staying in a safe, family friendly neighborhood, all while being just minutes away from downtown. It’s a beautiful 2 Bedroom house, with a living room, office, and washer & dryer, and plenty of closet space for luggage. My favorite part by far was the kitchen. It has a full size fridge and freezer so plenty of room to bring your own food if you want to save money and cook for yourself. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, seasonings, coffee machines, coffee, creamer, fruit, bread, cereal, and even the little things you forget to bring (like peanut butter to go with your apples). Walking in, I could immediately tell how much time the owner’s put into making their cottage as convenient, and cozy as possible for their guests. Pam (who owns it with her husband, and live right across the street) was a complete sweet heart; she greeted me with a big smile and a tour of their rental. The atmosphere is very welcoming, displaying some local Alaskan art on the walls, and a schedule of the local markets on the fridge. It has a huge selection of board games, wifi, hulu, Netflix, and at least 10 places to plug in your phone cord if you forget your wall jack. They also make life easy by keeping on hand all those little things you forget while traveling, like Q-tips, bug dope, band aids, ibuprofen, toothpaste and soap stocked in the bathroom. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here for couples, or families looking for a unique little house for their Anchorage getaway. It has a home away from home feel that’s makes you not want to leave."
"Been meaning to review since my trip in November. This place is amazing and the couple that runs it/owns it, are the nicest. Cozy and refined. Centrally located, walkable to downtown, easy to get to. They had the best recommendations for things to do and places to eat. They were so accommodating. Stay here, you wont regret it."
