"My recent stay at Sheraton Anchorage was overall pleasant, with a few areas for improvement. The staff were friendly and welcoming upon check-in, creating a positive first impression. The room itself was spacious and cozy, equipped with all the basic amenities one would expect. The hotel's central location in downtown Anchorage made shopping and dining easily accessible, with many options within walking distance. For guests driving, the sheltered multistorey carpark adjacent to the hotel was a convenient perk. However, there were some downsides to note. The bathtub was low and shallow, which may disappoint those who enjoy a deep soak. Additionally, the pillows were too soft for my preference, feeling almost nonexistent. Additionally, I encountered issues with room service. On the second morning of my stay, there was no room cleaning service, and there were no clear indications in the room regarding how to request this service. When I contacted the operator, they seemed surprised and unprepared to address the issue promptly. Furthermore, I was disappointed by the lack of knowledge among the staff regarding the operating hours of key transportation services, such as the popular Aurora Winter Train. As a traveler relying on local expertise, I expected the hotel staff to have a basic understanding of such essential information. Overall, while my stay at Sheraton Anchorage had its highlights, there are areas where improvements could be made to enhance the guest experience."

"I recently had a delightful breakfast experience at Jade Restaurant with server Cecilia. Her attentive service enhanced the overall enjoyment of my meal. The ambiance was cozy, and the diverse breakfast menu offered a range of delicious options. Cecilia's friendly demeanor and prompt service made the morning even more enjoyable. I look forward to returning for another satisfying breakfast at this establishment."
"Rooms are nice and aren't trashy or falling into disrepair however, The beds are hard, very hard. So if you're someone that prefers to sleep on a floor the beds will be slightly less hard than that. The food here was not good at all. I tried the recommended halibut and it was cold and came with baked potatoes, mashed potatoes and asparagus. Crazy amount of starch. The asparagus was very wilty and soft. All of this was cold. Halibut was good sized but not cooked well at all. For the prices you pay I expected better. Room service came one time during my week stay. I guess you have to request more visits? Other than that all of the staff were very friendly and polite and courteous and professional. I can't recommend staying here for the prices you're paying and if I had to do it again if stay at one of the newer places in Anchorage. Lastly I wanted to add it's close to everything but Anchorage is horrible for public transport. That's not a problem in the summer but the winter you better rent a car. And make sure it's 4x4 because they still have no clue how to plow or maintain roads."
