"Oof. Claims to have been renovated in 2022 but the smoke smells in the rooms are stale as if they’ve been chain smoked in since 1985. Breakfast is okay but it’s $20 for very basic hot accomodations."
"I’d leave “0” stars if possible. We flew all day only to find the hotel was boarded up. We made reservations months ago, were not notified ahead of time of the closure and could not reach anyone on the phone. We had to find another hotel late on a late Friday night. You may be sleeping in your rental car if you’re not careful!"
"Very disappointed. The pictures on Maps looks great but in person the paint is peeling and there's old gold trim around the glass, it looks like something built 50 or 60 years ago . The sliding glass door is old too, cold air seeps in constantly so the heater kicks in all the time which is noisy and since it's downtown the sliding glass door doesn't block traffic noise well either, but the rooms inside seem updated. Parking is NOT included with the room, and they have maybe 10 spots of their own. If you don't get one of those you have to pay an even higher price with city parking. The room only price is decent. I won't be staying here in the future"
"Very disappointed in the room accommodations. This is owned by Carnival/Princess and one of the hotels that you will stay at for any rail or cruise package. I understand that it may be for only one or two nights. You still want a nice room to stay in. We spoke to a local who said it had been closed for a while and reopened within the last year. The rooms are still very dated with 1970s pleather sofa and tables. I tried to change my hotel with our travel agent and was unable to, Princess assigns the hotel about a month out."
"I was extremely disappointed with the hotel. By the time I checked in due to flight delays I had time to shower . I had hair in my tub and on the floor. Being from a hotel background unchecked for bed bugs first, the bed was fine , linens clean , although I had maybe 15 minutes rest before I had to be up and out. The front desk clerk was exceptional, he made the best of a bad travel day. I got there my luggage didn't and he followed up to get my luggage there in time before I had to leave which was in less than an hour. We went to the buffet restaurant where the food was adequate. The service was slow, they had no creamer for the coffee, they had run out. The price of the buffet for what they had to offer was over priced and your options of going else where limited in time because of the trip itinerary. You would think they would include breakfast in the package . The hotel was a bit dated but not as clean as you would expect. This was a hotel Holland America put you up as part of your cruise and land package. Considering the cost and the limited time you were there you would think their accommodations would be better."
