Arvada Flats

"I’ve been waiting to write this review until I moved because its been pretty terrible but I didn’t want retaliation from the management company. When I first moved in they said the apartment was newly “renovated”. there was nothing renovated about this place, the countertops were covered in this horrible paint that started to peel the moment I moved in, the electrical outlets were supposed to be replaced and never were so everything I plugged in fell out, if the place was renovated even the electrical outlets would have been replaced. There is not a single light in any of the rooms or in the living room I felt like I had gone back to the 70’s. They were ACTUALLY (wow good job) renovating the apartment above ours when the construction crew left the water on and started to flood our apartment. Nothing was done to dry the walls or take care of any damage that was done when water was literally pouring from the walls. When our new neighbors moved in their apartment looked COMPLETELY different than ours and thats when I knew they hadn’t done ANYTHING to our space yet still charging us for a nice new renovated space. Any maintenance call would take weeks to months to attend to even after calling the management company Deerwoods. My fridge was broken and I called emergency maintenance many many times but no one came out for days. Do not rent from Deerwoods unless you want to get constant emails about things other tenants are doing wrong with threats of eviction yet no one is being evicted. Enjoy your water being turned off constantly with no real explanation. Watch out for your Kia because it will be stolen from this property like my neighbors was. Enjoy that amazing tiny window unit from 1990 that fails to even cool anything other than the living room. To be this close to Olde town Arvada and be such garbage is just sad, Deerwoods needs step up and take ownership of their “new” property."

"This place is trash. The owner also has another property down the street called "brookview" apartments and neither of them are worth your money. Brookview has several Heath hazards that have been looked past including warped floorboards, several incidents of roaches and bed bugs, while all the managers drive new cars to leave us living in slum paying way more than what this place is worth. They recently updated the outside of the building adding grass but do not let that fool you, the inside is a hell hole. Also, don't complain about the eroded foundation or mold growth because you will recive a 30 day notice to leave."

"The apartment was not cleaned prior to my moving in. The neighbors are not quiet and have loud conversations on their balcony until well after midnight. The groundskeeper/maintenance workers are extremely unprofessional and rude. If you have a repair request it will take FOREVER for it to be addressed. The complex itself is very dirty and the laundry facility is in need of a serious overhaul (the machines smell horrible and will eat your quarters). On the plus side Stacy at the office is very nice and accommodating. The truth is you get what you pay for."
