"Just to give any future renters a heads up… DO NOT RENT HERE! Julie isn’t helpful. She doesn’t care about any of the residents. The management/owners do not care if the apartment is even capable to live in. I don’t see how they are still in business. They charge $30 for a light bulb. Even if you put in a maintenance request to change it, you might as well go to the store and change it yourself. The buildings are rotting and old. They do not take care of any of the up keeping. It is the worse place to stay. Save your money for a home you can actually LIVE in."
"Julie is the worst. They don't change carpets when you nice in and then charge you for damage when you leave. I've never NOT received my full security deposit until this place when they illegally evicted me. Why? Because the apartment kept flooding and my bedroom was filled with black mold. After multiple complaints, she said she'd move me to a 2 bedroom at the full price. Nope. I wasn't asking for that, just to have my apartment fixed or moved to a similar unit. Julie was defiant and even called the police on me for complaining. So, after a million calls and emails to Julie, a call to the news, the city of Creve Couer, and the BBB, I was told that my apartment was "uninhabitable" and I had 10 days to move out. Then, trumped to charges that kept security AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS"
"Charging me over $300 because my $750 pet deposit and $250 security deposit wasn’t enough!! Charging me for a broiler pan I never had or don’t even know what it looks like. Charging for light bulbs that I changed. Charging over $950 to replace carpet on my 700 sq ft apt for wear and tear and my pet stains plus my toilet flooded and my shower walls rotted out fell on me in the shower! This is the thanks I get for paying my rent on time every month for 3 years. Renters beware!! They raise your rent every year!!!"
"I taught in a neighboring district for 3 years while living at this apartment complex. I was timely with all my rent. Upon moving out, I was told I had damaged the master bedroom carpet. This is absolutely not the truth. To add to an already untrue claim, the management said I had to pay thousands of dollars to replace the entire carpet in the apartment because they were out of that dye lot. (Mind you this is neutral beige carpet.) I have never felt more scammed. When asked to talk to the manager’s boss I was met with a hard no. Please save yourself money in the long run and rent elsewhere. They obviously have not changed from the years I lived there. If I could give it 0 stars I would."
"This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. I have never on departure of a rental complex been so grossly take advantage of. All previous land lords have returned to me my deposits in full. I am a responsible tenant who always takes care of my belongings and those of others. I pay rent on time and bring maintenance issues to management's attention immediately so properties can be properly maintained. When I first moved into Village Park Apartments in Creve Coeur, MO back in 2015 the unit had obviously not been cleaned before our arrival. The flooring and bathroom was grossly stained and the kitchen appliances were not only poorly cleaned and kept but the stove and oven never properly worked. The oven heated so unevenly it was hardly used and only two of the stoves burners worked. My roommate and I took days and weeks to slowly deep clean every inch of our unit leaving it in better condition than when we received it. We also went through and logged every damage and stain we could possibly find to have a record of the condition it was in before turning that into the leasing office manager Julie. Now upon our departure, I have received an outrageous bill of almost a thousand dollars in damages. Unfortunately, after trying to discuss these charges and come to a reasonable conclusion I have been disregarded and threatened with collection agencies and court. I am here to warn all potential future residents to take your business elsewhere. These apartments are overpriced, under kept, and they will take every advantage of you possible on your departure."
