"I’m an IHG member and travel frequently, was in-town for leisure. Good things: service, parking was safe and secure, bed was comfy. Without question the nicest bathrooms I’ve seen in a mainstream hotel. Biggest negative to me was the breakfast which is grab and go like Covid. One reason we booked the HI Express was for their good breakfasts, so that was a bummer. It looks like an older hotel though and recent remodeling has made things much better!"
"The location is perfect - nice area, walking distance to Forest Park, Whole Foods, and an abundance of restaurants and bars. 12 minutes walk to the metro station that will conveniently take you to the airport or riverfront district. The room was perfectly clean, had a nice walk-in shower and all the essentials. Grab and go breakfast is included with the stay. Highly recommend."
"Experience here was horrible. There was a housekeeping issue on afternoon shift that did not get passed on to night shift, so when we tried to check in around midnight we were first sent to a room that was already occupied (thankfully they had their security latch flipped or we would have just walked in on them), then we were given a room that had not been cleaned at all, then finally a clean room, though we only had one towel and no soap. It took nearly two hours for us to finally get a room. Management did comp the first night of our stay for the inconvenience, and the poor front desk agent was very nice through the entire check in process, though he did continuously give us rooms we could not stay in. The rooms themselves are absolutely terrible though. The walls are paper paper thin and the bathroom doors are a barn door style with no latch that does not sit remotely flush to the wall, so even with the door "closed" everyone staying with you can both see and hear you use the bathroom. Maybe the only upside is that this hotel is pet friendly, though that means all of the rooms have terrible, cheap vinyl flooring with a throw rug that does not appear to be washed at checkout. Never again."
