Reviews
"Lol the last review sounds like it’s from a pretty privileged person. I have had the opposite experience at Lyra and I’ve lived at some BAD places in Portland (see Parallax). Lyra has been responsive, helpful and kept the place clean! The AC units are just how it is in PDX - have yet to find a place where the AC ducts actually fit a unit. But I’ve been really happy here for 6 months now, it’s quiet, the neighborhood is beautiful and everyone who works here goes above and beyond. I stand by this place being a great place to live but like, when I moved out they bogarted my deposit check and I’ve been waiting for a month for any word of it coming back to me."
"This was possibly the worst experience I've had living at an apartment. Don't be fooled by the apartments being new, they are built with cheap materials that don't last. The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbor microwaving, talking, and walking around their apartment. I would say management is awful, but for it to be awful it has to exist, and you can't even get in contact with management after move-in (look at other UDP managed apartments and the reviews are the same). They do not respond to you, it took me 4 months of constant calling and emailing to get my rent payments corrected. It's a nightmare to live here. It was a constant battle to get in contact with anyone that works at UDP. Also, just a note, there is not air conditioning in these apartments. You have to rig a portable AC unit to a hole in the wall that doesn't fit any portable AC unit. During the heat wave it got up to 97 in our apartment with the AC running. We had to rent a hotel for a week because it was unlivable. Obviously management didn't care. Once you move in you'll just be counting the days until you get to move out. Don't make the same mistake I did and look elsewhere, these apartments are not worth the price."
