"The hotel staff was very friendly. The room was clean and the location was great. I never felt unsafe when I was outside the hotel. They are currently remodeling but the staff was nice when they told us about it. The breakfast was hot and fresh. I can't tell you how many other places I have stayed where they don't keep the food fresh. Not here. The food was really good. I might have eaten too much breakfast. The guy working the breakfast room was super nice and even clear our table for us when we were leaving."
"I can’t remember the last time that I left a 2 Star review (it would be less if the room itself was a problem), but I am extremely disappointed by the lack of customer service and care from this Holiday Inn Express. We chose this hotel based on their location and rate, since it was close to some friends we were stopping to see while on a road trip. We received multiple negative experiences from a customer service / management standpoint. While driving in, there was a road detour late at night which delayed our arrival time. We called reception to let them know we were still on our way and felt like we got hung up on. While the room itself was fine, I realized the day that we left that I forgot my electric toothbrush on the bathroom counter; we called immediately once I noticed, and were told they would call us back the next day once they had cleaned the room. We never received a call. We called again the next morning. They said house keeping would contact us. Again, we never got a call back. We called a third time, but the toothbrush wasn’t found so we asked to speak to the manager. We were told they would call us by the end of the day. That never happened. The following morning we had to contact them ourselves again…a fourth time. Management promised to go look for it. We did receive a call back after that with an apology that it was not found and for the poor customer service. The follow through on communicating with us has been terrible, which makes me feel that there is an absolute lack of care about the people who stay in this hotel. Not to mention that we have no confirmation from housekeeping or management on what happened to my pricey electric toothbrush (whether it was thrown out, stolen, or…?). I will never stay here again."
"Stayed while the place was under construction. There was little to no where to park. My phone didn't work in my room, the homeless took out the large Trash bin that the construction crew was filling up at 3am and made a bunch of noise I ended up leaving and staying somewhere else the stay maybe different once construction is done Rooms were Nice but not worth the noise and headache So much more happened but I don't want to completely bash this place"
"I have been coming here for years far prior to Holiday Inn purchasing the property. The hotel is exactly the same as before except a new sign that says Holiday Inn. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. The downside is,due to the acceptance of pets, sometimes certain areas can smell of urine. In defense it is never in our best rooms but it can still be unpleasant nonetheless. On the other hand, I don’t mind the open pet policy. They do a good job of keeping the hallways and rooms smelling good. If I had to identify the most common area of pet odor I would say about 15-20 feet away from the elevator where I have witnessed dogs pee. My final negative is the fact that since Holiday Inn took ownership of the hotel, they charge premium prices for rooms with any type of waterfront view. It used to be the luck of the draw and was a draw for this location. Now everything is money driven! If you aren’t willing to pay 30-50 dollars extra per night, you will never enjoy a balcony waterfront view like in the past."
"Room was big, clean, comfortable, and quiet. Soft mattress. Easy access to my Portland destination. Customer service at desk was good at check in/out. Friendly and helpful when I needed to cancel the last two days of my stay. I realized an IHG points issue a couple months after my stay and the general manager Gordon helped me promptly and efficiently, which I really appreciated. Thank you to the whole team."
