DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland 1000 Northeast Multnomah Street, Portland, OR 97232

"I will never stay at this hotel again. I usually trust Hiltons but this is the exception. The hotel room was dirty (hairs in the bathroom). There was only a tiny coffee maker, no microwave or mini fridge, all in all the room looked sterile, not inviting at all. Other Hiltons usually have coffee in the lobby free to guests, not this one, it's a little coffee shop for purchase. We awoke both nights to doors slamming and loud conversations in the hallway at 2 am. Plus the Light rail was running all night right next to the hotel, which also kept us awake. To top it off all the taxes that are added to the room, pet and parking, they even tax the dog!! Last but not least and why I writing this because I am beside myself, they held the room charge plus $100 extra for incidentals, which is fine but charged the room when we left without releasing the hold! So as of 2 days later, they have the held money of $499.00 plus the total room charge total of $516.00 a total of $1015.00. If I didn't have money in my savings, I'd be in the negative right now and facing an overdraft charge. I will never stay here again, nor would I ever recommend this hotel!"

"My only complaint during my 1 night stay was there is a 3” gap under my room door so I can hear (and I’m sure they can hear me) every noise and conversation in the hallway. It’s a little disconcerting when you’re trying to nod off and people are talking like they are right next to your bed. Not great!!!! This is rated a 4 star…. Maybe a 2 3/4 not more than that. My shower smelled horrible but can’t picture point the area."

"Friendly staff, including front desk team and restaurant servers. Food was good and nice local beer selection. Room was clean and well kept. Nice view of city from my balcony. Great location across the street from the Red Line to the airport. Definitely a go to when in Portland."

"It's a nice hotel and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was pretty basic but clean. The balcony was okay, it was pretty small, it would have been nice if there were chairs so you could enjoy being out on it. The room didn't have a microwave or mini fridge. The location is convenient and close to lots of good restaurants. I paid the extra $27.00 to park in their parking garage so my total for a single night was around $234.00."

"I know this isn’t a 5 star hotel, but the service I had here was amazing. Anthony and Tiffany at the front desk were incredibly accommodating after I had such a terrible travel into the hotel. The warm chocolate chip cookie and greetings every time I came in through the lobby were worth everything. The rooms were clean and there were plenty of towels. The bed I had was comfy. Public transportation is easily accessible and nearby. From what I could see, the parking garage was also staffed with 24-hour security. Wish they had a more visible water filling station and a mini fridge in the rooms. Overall, will definitely be coming in again. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful."
