"Random people knock on your door at all hours of the day and night. Quite a few shootings. My car has been hit in the parking lot more than once. My neighbor flooded his apartment which flooded part of mine and ruined a bunch of my daughters stuff. Lots of people doing drugs. License plates have been stolen off my car. There is about 152 apartments and about 35 parking spots. So parking is an issue."
"Good staff. Caring and compassionate"
"Not your typical apartment complex!!!... The amazing non-profit organization Central City Concern owns and operates this property. It is fair market low income housing (1-2 bedroom) that operates off of a wait list. Seeing as how this is a beautifully built new building with on-site support staff, I feel in comparison to similar options around town, an individual or family will have hit the "jackpot" if given the opportunity to live here (taking into consideration the tenant and surrounding neighborhood dynamic). Lets not forget to mention that they are MORE than understanding/fair when it comes to the screening process and barriers in my opinion. The staff/team there go above and beyond to assist and support residents in anyway possible and strive to build the community. They build very strong and personal relationships with the residents and families at this property because they genuinely care. Here are a few of the amazing things that this staff and organization do for it's residents... weekly food donations, kids school supplies, winter coats, Christmas presents, homework club, community BBQ's, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner, Halloween party/office trick or treat, on-site recovery meetings (substance use disorders), one on one budget planning, vast/various referrals/resources, employment services for career advancement, and so much more. Again, not your typical apartment complex. Yes, anyone who watches the news or knows Portland is aware that this area has some issues. And due to the population this property/organization so valiantly serve, there will at times be a few households within this, or any complex for that matter that are higher needs or have issues. But, this staff/organization passionately strive to provide the necessary supports and/or hold these households accountable to the best of their ability. Additionally, there is a gated community with locked security doors, a TON of cameras throughout the property, locked laundry facilities, and they have?/had an on-site armed security guard in the evenings. Although this is a lengthy review I know I'm leaving out so much more about the amazing and positive things going on at this property. There are a lot of really great people at this there, both staff and residents, and all of this information comes from first hand experience. I'm confident that this property and community will continue to evolve and only get better with time... I hope this review was helpful to anyone who has questions about this property or it's residents, or for anyone who is currently looking for housing."
