"I've lived here for 3.5 years and overall its a great, affordable building. At the cost, you get what you pay for in terms of amenities and management - but the apartment size and quality is well worth the price tag! Super roomy bedroom and very large living area, which is rare in Portland. The kitchen is fine - nothing crazy fancy but everything works. Bathroom and closets are also a great size. If you can get over the lack of a door to the bedroom, this apartment is a great space. Plus, in unit laundry and AC makes this apartment a winner. Building amenities do not really exist in comparison to the luxury high rises nearby but that is not what you are paying for here. Over the years the onsite management of the building has kind of disappeared - the worst being no package management what so ever has caused a lot of mail issues but they seem to have gotten better in the last few months. Despite the onsite building management seeming to be MIA, reaching out to Capital is always easy and friendly for any maintenance issues or emergencies. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a nice location and a roomy, straightforward apartment."

"I have lived at Jarrett Street Lofts for two years now. I absolutely love it here. The A/C has been such a comfort this past summer and I like the availability of controlling it with a remote. The common area hallways are kept clean and still have that new building smell. I can rest easy at night knowing my truck is parked in the secure garage. Capitals maintenance department has been the best service I've received in all my years of renting. They have responded the same day or next morning to my repair request. 5 stars for Capital Property Management."

"I lived at Jarrett Street for seven months. It was alright for an apartment but the cons outweighed the pros. There are several apartments in PDX. I’d recommend looking at the others before you decide to live a Jarrett. Cons: • There’s no AC which makes it very hot in the summer • Walls are pretty thin. I could always hear my neighbor’s alarm clocks, footsteps above, and neighbor to the right. • Ever changing management. The owner lives at the property and management turnover is frequent • Goes with the above - gave notice with manager, she left and owner made me pay for 3 extra weeks. • Nickel and dimed - I just received my 230.23 of $300 deposit. I was charged $65 for carpet cleaning and $4.77 for utilities. The apartment was brand new when I moved in. I vacuumed regularly and left the place in excellent condition before leaving. • Garage parking is an additional $100 per month with free off-street parking. Pros: • Owner hosts quarterly meet and greet with food/beer and wine • Two full blocks to Max Station • I forgot I left my two cookbooks on the counter when I left. The owner was nice enough to hold them for me."
