"My husband and I love living at the Dylan. Our neighbors are quiet, it’s a great location and the staff are friendly. The only issue we’ve had here is our downstairs neighbor seems to think she has the right to be the only one in the building and has complained about us several times (including in a review below) for being noisy. We have spoken to our direct neighbors and have been told we are very quiet people and they never hear us. Passive aggressiveness never solved anything and her offering to buy us slippers by leaving a note on the door was textbook definition. We make an effort every day to keep our walking quiet. We’re not inconsiderate people. It would be nice if we could walk around our apartment without feeling like we’re gonna set her off by just existing. Everyone else we know in the building is great. Sometimes we can hear our upstairs neighbor but we’ve never complained because we live in…an apartment building. Otherwise, really enjoy living here and Bryn is especially wonderful at the front desk."
"Decent experience over the past one and a half years. Pros: 1) Maintenance staff is kind and attentive. 2) Units are clean and spacious. 3) Shared amenities such as the gym are well maintained and accessible. Cons: 1) Build quality of units is mediocre at best. Sound insulation between units is very poor. 2) Garage breaks regularly. The convenience of having a stall is great but seems unfair to pay full price for a service/product that is not on par with what was promised. 3) Would be nice if emails were regularly sent regarding elevator reservations."
"Security is a major disappointment here. The management team that was here when I moved in was excellent! Skye was always so welcoming, helpful and wonderful! Unfortunately they have gone on to The Olivia. Last week my apartment was entered (apparently all units were entered for a routine inspection of some sort) but I was not notified beforehand. My dog was home alone and terrified and peed on my brand new couch. I asked around and most people were notified, but I was not the only one on my floor who had an intrusion on Thursday afternoon with no prior notice. Some units were skipped. The current manager, Kate, will gaslight you when you address your concerns and has gone as far as mocking me in my frustration. She's really the type of person that will pass gas in an elevator full of people and get off at the next stop. Not only because she has no concern for the well-being of others, but a genuine though severely misguided belief that her stuff doesn't stink. I don't feel safe at all here. Rather than informing the community when an incident occurs, she hurries to cover it up and pretends it never happened. She will not authorize paying for overnight security when the garage is broken and stuck in the open position (which happens more often than not.) Though I'm sure many would agree, round the clock security would be a much wiser investment in the well-being of our community than her salary. I really did enjoy living here for awhile and was patient with a lot of mishaps and amenities being unavailable for quite some time but the new lack of management and lack of security have ruined the experience. This would be a 5 star place to live again if these 2 issues were resolved."
"I moved into The Dylan about two weeks ago, and I can’t thank the staff enough for how kind and welcoming they have been!! Big shout out to Sydney and Bryn for being on top of all the details, checking in to make sure things are running smoothly and that I am adjusting well to my new home. Sydney and Bryn have the best energy and make it such a fun place to live!!"
"[Aug 28, 2023] Reply to The Dylan Response - 1. I've been at the Dylan since they opened. The Garage has 100% been broken "on and off" for over a year. The same run around of "a small part has been broken, and it will take 7 days or up to 1 month for the part to arrive" has been given. Just throw the whole garage away. It doesn't make sense that little, hard to replace parts are always breaking. 2. I love how the heat wave is being mentioned in the response, when we as residents were not informed. Last email we got was "garage is broken again, no ETA" - & no mentions about extra security patrol. We the residents are not devil spawns, and can totally understand if a heat wave is causing a delay. 3. I'm not sure why my opinion about my experience at the Dylan is translating to "the staff sucks and so does the property". I stated in my review, that the garage issue dampers all the good stuff about the Dylan (acknowledging that it is a nice property, but this experience with the garage foreshadows everything else). 4. I am and have always been enrolled in portal notifications. Mainly because I need to keep up to date with this garage situation ... that has been going on for over a year. Still not seeing this big "manager and team introduction" that the response claims. Waiting for proof via email...I can name every one from the previous staff that was here, before they moved over to the Olivia. Have no idea who is working here now.. To the current Dylan staff.. It's not too late to change your response. [Aug 26, 2023] I don’t remember the last time the garage door was working - it literally has been malfunctioning for the past year. At this point, I’m anxious to even drive under it. The issue really dampers all the good things about the Dylan. Also, all the original staff moved over to The Olivia - and I don’t recall ever getting an email/introduction about who currently manages the office. Unfortunate!"
