"Just Moved in , 3 days ago with my cat . and just wanted to share a little about my my first few Days at Ella !!! First off Thank You to the incredible kind and helpful team moving me in . Especially Patrick , Kelsey , and Marlah for all the help getting settled , in .the Apartment is beautiful very spacious, and gets beautiful morning sun. The building always smells like coffee at this location , we are one block to the river there is a beautiful courtyard, with fountain and string lights , that makes it magic at night , the building has a lovely gym , and rooftop with views of the Willamette, and hills There is an amazing coffee place across the street , me and Celine , my cat are grateful to call this beautiful place home . Also the building feels very safe and secure, and I rent on my own :) Thanks Ella !!!!"

"If you value sleep, then this is most likely not the place for you. Constant shouting outside, dogs barking or loud neighbors, you'll find it here. Little to my knowledge, it appears there are a number of tenants with disabilities living here as well (not surprsing given the proximity to OHSU), so make sure to ask if you have anyone with disabilities living above you before signing a lease agreement. One positive is the maintenace crew, which is fairly quick and friendly, as are the general staff. As far as the building itself, the inside is not as nicely kept as the outside would have you believe. Smelly halls and trash rooms that are regularly full are a common occurence. Overall, a decent building with nice amenities in a nice area. However, since it's secluded, there isn't much to do here apart from the river. In this price range, you can find better."

"Maintenance issues take a long time to get repaired here. I'm only on my second summer at Ella, and I've already had three major A/C malfunctions. The quickest took four days to get fixed, and the slowest two weeks. The current issue is apparently affecting not just my unit but several others on my floor. We've already gone a week without A/C, and there is currently no resolution in sight. Our last update from management was three days ago, and all they said was they were "running diagnostics" and doing everything they could get it fixed, but I find that hard to believe. I work in the construction industry. There are usually things that can be done to expedite repairs, and it seems like Ella is choosing not to do those things. To make matters worse, my floor plan (and probably others affected by the outage on my floor as well) doesn't have any operable windows, only a door to a balcony which lacks a screen. So without the A/C, I'm forced to choose between not having any airflow through the apartment or letting bugs inside. I know A/C is a luxury not a necessity in our area, but it is frustrating to be in this position when you're paying a premium rent price for that luxury."
