"This was the best stay ever. I don't know who hired this phenomenal staff. But they need a pat on the back. I was greeted as soon as I came inside. A chicken was fast. I love that there was a valet that was really helpful. Cute little bar and restaurant. The ambience here is top-notch. You really feel like you're somewhere very expensive and rich. My room was super cute. Things that I want to note is the white noise machine. With that on I slept like a baby."
"Location - just a couple of blocks from Powell’s. Excellent selection of dining, cafes and shopping nearby. Check in - friendly and easy process. They even gave me a ticket for a free drink at the bar (adjacent to the check in desk) Lobby - The property has a hip vibe and there is an art display by local artists and arcade games in the lobby. Instead of a restaurant, they have a bar and some “food cart” style counters. Sunrice has excellent freshly made meals. There’s also a sushi place that I didn’t try. Room - clean with fun touches. Loved the retro look telephone and cute sayings. I found the bed to be more comfortable than most hotel beds. Noise - this was the only thing that slightly bothered me. It was neat that they had a white noise machine. Overall, the room was quiet. The walls were fairly thin, so I could hear muffled conversations in other rooms without the white noise machine on. The refrigerator would run on and off throughout the night and sounded like it was crying. Probably an anomaly, but it did disrupt my sleep a bit. Transportation - right on the NS streetcar line, close to the Max and bus lines too."
"This is only a review of the downstairs bar/ lobby. I think this would be a really cute place for a small group. For larger groups there is a room that you can nab if there are no reservations. You could also reserve the room for your party. I believe reservations are open to the public and not just hotel guests - might want to call and check. An overall classy vibe with a solid cocktail menu. My only gripe is that they could work on the acoustics. For a lounge-y environment, the space has quite a bit of reverb. It makes it difficult to converse without yelling over music or other conversations. In a similar vein, it might be nice to dim the lighting outside of the bar and the path to the elevators that lead to the hotel rooms to create a sense of separation between lounge patrons and hotel guests. But those are nits, it's one of those places that make you feel cooler just by being there. CAUTION: actual coolness may remain the same"
"The room was cute and the vibe was generally fun. Staffs were super friendly, Especially Anthony was so kind and cheerful. Have some fun stuffs in the lobby and playing music all the time. Casual, Easy, Fun concept hotel is always cute. The room was cute but too narrow and the bathroom, shower booth has no door and water was splashed on the floor. No free breakfast but so delicious options there.. u can check the details. I stayed with my 9yo daughter she loved that bunker bed a lot!!"
"We recently visited Portland for the first time and had a great stay at 'The Moxy'. We only stayed here one night, but the staff was very friendly, the rooms were fun and the bar was great. It was also a nice touch to receive a drink voucher when checking in. Would like to mention there was no refrigerator or table in the room only a fold out desk which was really only appropriate for laptop use. This was fine for our visit of one night which we spent going out for food and drinks, but if we were staying here for a weekend i think i would have wanted a mini fridge in the room and a place to sit and eat with my significant other. Perfect place to land if your going to be traveling by yourself, you like a fun friendly space or you just plan on going out for food and drinks anyways. This was a great launch point to go out and explore Portland!"
