"Stayed one night in late February 2024. I really can't say anything bad about this beautiful 19th Century hotel. The rooms are very nice with robe and slippers waiting for you. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was spacious with good water pressure and plenty of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, TP, Kleenex, towels. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a nice visit."
"I experienced an issue and have to say that the management and attendant on duty were professional and actually cared about the issue. We were moved to another room no questions asked. As shook up as I was, there was a sense of caring that went beyond the call of duty. The only room issue was that there are no overhead lights in the bathroom except for the shower. This creates a blinding light situation as the lights from the mirror shine directly in your eyes and suffice for all lighting. The gym is perfect for anyone that does physical therapy. There are mats, balance balls and medicine balls. There's a restroom within the gym and bottled water is provided. I especially liked the kettle balls as I had a stroke that requires balance therapy. There are several free weights and a nice treadmill. Very impressive for anyone needing PT since everything is brand new. The location is excellent and especially since you can walk to the Amtrak station. We picked the Harlow based on the proximity to the Amtrak station. I would probably stay here again."
"I recently stayed at the Harlow Hotel, and I must say that my experience was quite mixed. While the hotel had its positive aspects, there were some significant issues that left me feeling less than satisfied. Let's start with the positives. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating during the check-in process, and the lobby area was clean and well-maintained. The room itself was clean with modern fixtures, and the bed was comfortable. However, the issues began to arise as the night progressed. One major problem was the paper-thin walls that made it nearly impossible to enjoy a peaceful and restful night. I could hear every conversation, footsteps, and even someone snoring in the neighboring rooms. This lack of sound insulation seriously affected the quality of my stay, and I found it difficult to get the rest I needed. Another unfortunate incident occurred during my stay when there was a serious car crash right outside the hotel. The noise and commotion were not the hotel's fault, of course, but it further added to the disruptions that night. The area around Harlow is "modestly gritty" and expect other disruptions, especially on a Friday night. Perhaps the most frustrating part of my stay was the fact that I never received a receipt upon check-out. I had requested one to be sent by email but it never came. I emailed the hotel and never heard back. I called and the individual who answered said to call back in two days when the manager was supposed to return. This left me feeling uneasy and unimpressed. In summary, Harlow Hotel has its merits, including friendly staff and a comfortable bed. However, the paper-thin walls, the car crash incident, and the difficulty in obtaining a receipt have significantly detracted from the overall experience. I would recommend this hotel with caution, especially if you're a light sleeper or if you value clear communication and attention to detail."
"Had a mom's night out and we stayed at the Harlow and it is absolutely beautiful. Spacious bathrooms and comfy beds. 24 hour Cafe and bar were available inside I really liked that. Location is spot on if your coming for a night out . Everything we wanted/needed was walking distance . 10/10 would stay again. My new favorite place to stay. Thank You Harlow Team for having us"
"Fantastic hotel with a friendly staff in a fun location. They have done a great job putting new life into this historic hotel. Lots of things to do and places to eat within walking distance. I felt very safe there as well even walking home from dinner."
