"Much to share. I have had a multitude of bad experiences with the property management at Springville Oaks, the most recent being charges for my parking garage. Management made a clerical error and missed charging me for my garage during my most recent renewal. Not my fault! Now they are backdating my charges from the past several months. They should have to eat those costs due to their mistake. Next, my guest bathroom started to leak after an ice storm that hit the area. I did my due diligence to report it, several days later property maintenance installed dehumidifiers and fans in my apartment, plugging them into my outlets (for the electricity costs that will be on my personal bill) to help them. No conversation of reimbursement since this only protects their property. These devices are running 24/7 and they will have been in place for 2+ weeks. Lastly, I submitted a maintenance request to have a doorknob fixed on the inside of my garage door that gave me access to my building. The handle had come off and it was difficult to manually manipulate the locking mechanism to open the door. It took close to 3 weeks to get that addressed. Imagine if someone with a difficulty using their hands had to deal with that… One last thing, when filling out a maintenance request and I indicate that I would like to be notified before entertaining the unit, that request has never been honored. Maintenance just shows up whenever they want. Then why ask to be informed in the request?"
"Rent here at your own risk! I am currently a tenant and just tonight my friends’ cars got towed at 9PM in unmarked parking parallel to my building—meaning, there are no “No Parking” signs or anything. My friends had not even parked there for an hour and their cars were gone. For the record, tow trucks have come by in the past and have NEVER towed cars parked in these spots (some neighbors have had friends park there overnight and, again, no tow). The towing company informed us of a contract agreement between the landlords and the towing company that they may start towing unregistered cars at 6 PM! My friends now have to pay over $500 to get their cars out of the tow yard because of the apartment complex’s draconian parking enforcement. I plan to ask the landlords for restitution, but given my past experience with them (see below) I doubt any restitution will occur. The leasing office is incredibly slow at responding to tenants’ needs/requests. Maintenance is great (Carl is always on top of things), but the leasing office itself can sometimes take weeks to get back to you on a simple request. Case in point, we were wanting to switch our parking spot from a covered spot to a garage; simple enough right? Well, it turns out that it takes over two weeks just for the office to acknowledge the request (after I confronted them in person about it), another week to inform us of our options, then another week to acknowledge and initiate the request. This is also on top of not providing us with lease extensions a couple months from our lease expiration date and instead emailing them to us a week before the lease expired. In sum, we have enjoyed the apartment itself, but parking is a hellish joke and the leasing office leaves a lot to be desired."
"I completely agree with the worst reviews given by the folks for their management. This is one one the worst apartment I ever lived in , I would never recommend anyone to rent in this society. This society management will give you the toughest time of your life . I shifted here just 3 months back and in the first month itself they have given me real hard time with inflated bill amount and to make them understand that your system is showing wrong deposit .They don't reply to your mails and you need to visit to their office which is 4 miles away and make them understand the issue. After multiple follow up and personal visits they corrected the amount in the system .There are no amenities in the apartment and you have to visit to their office only for everything.I wish I could have taken all these reviews about this apartment seriously."
"Management at this location is horrible. DO NOT rent here!! I've been quite disappointed with new management for this property. Not only have they increase rent an additional $200 per month for current residents, they also have double booked my carport slot which I pay $50 a month for. I notified them I would be vacating my unit at the end of my lease contract, which is near the end of September. For the past month I've slowly been moving out, going back and forth between my current and future home. Three times I have returned to my old unit to find a car parked in my carport. I spoke with the office administrator and was informed there was an error in my carport being assigned to someone else. I was told this would quickly be remedied. I returned yesterday to do some additional cleaning, and found the same vehicle once again parked in my paid for carport. I drove to the management office and expressed frustration with the situation. Once again she looked up my contract and I'm listed as the owner of that carport, but so is the person who is parking there. Somehow the system allowed them to double book the carport, so we're both paying for the same thing. I asked to be refunded my monthly carport fee and was told she would need to speak with a manager regarding it. I should expect a call by the end of the day. That call has never come and I am left paying for a carport that I can't even use. I am extremely frustrated with this entire situation and do not recommend from this company. They seem to care more about making money than retaining quality renters. UPDATE: I have since fully moved out of this complex and was never contacted by management regarding a refund for the carport I paid for but couldn't use. They issued a generic response to my post, but when I emailed and called, nothing got resolved. I also waited more than 30 days for my final statement, which never came. I sent an email, left a voicemail, all with no response. I called again today and was told somehow the automatic system hadn't sent me my final notice. When I received it, I was yet again slighted. Not only did they not refund my deposit, they made up bogus charges repainting all 4 rooms which was not needed at all ($200), replacing showerheads that were in perfect order ($50), claiming they had to do a deep clean even though I left the unit completely clean ($355), plus a few others. In the end, I owed them money instead of getting any deposit back. I included some pictures to show how clean I left the unit on my move out date. It makes me sick the large companies can steal money from hard working single moms like myself. I just hope my post can save other people the same frustration I've been through."
"I only wish I would have read through all the reviews for this property before moving here... It is unanimous as to what my complaints based on what I have read thus far. Interior wise, yes the apartments are nice - that being said you can purchase a larger square footage home for less than what I pay in rent. What you pay in rent does not compensate for the experience of living here. The 2 amenities (gym & pool - NO hot tub) are at a different property you have to drive to. Then my 16 year old daughter tried to use the gym but unable to get in because their equipment was not working (key fob) asked nicely to be let in and was turned away because she was not on the lease. However, I have a copy of my lease clearly listing her as a resident. There is no parking available at all here unless you pay extra for a space that rarely become available. So unless you are wanting to pay over $2500 every month to have a place to sleep STAY FAR AWAY!!"
