"Please do not move here. Unless you are in dire circumstances this apartment in terrible condition, enforces ridiculous policies, the amenities are rarely available, and the parking is extremely inconvenient. I have never taken time out to participate in any Google review but I honestly feel like I would be doing the St. Louis community a disservice if I did not warn anyone not to move here. Katherine Fugel & the maintenance team are the only saving grace. They are responsive, professional, and genuine. Also, the 5 star reviews that you see below are likely bought through deals at the apartment. Nothing I can prove just speaking from experience. Your hard earned money can be better spent elsewhere. Just my two cents."
"Mother and myself moved into Gallery 400 now 2 weeks ago and has been nothing but pure bliss and relaxation. Its a small property, with approximately 75 apartments total over 7 floors. SO you don't have a lot of noise and slow elevators. Let me get detailed for you....You feel upmost safe living here. Even though there are pan handlers on various corners, that is downtown living in any city in America. They do not beg aggressively, no is simply no. There are no gun shots at this end of downtown as in other parts mere 6 blocks down. Coming from that area where in one year i encountered 6 gun shoot outs, 2 robbery's, numerous fires and domestic incidents, my safety at this point is #1. There are CAMERA's EVERYWHERE, on every floor, every door, ever nook and cranny in Gallery 400. You will be safe, assured. The pool is a heated saltwater pool. Honestly, too hot for my liking and a workout facility that rivals the YMCA down the street. Apartments are very spacious and you will not feel cramped at all. Washers/dryers in every unit along with marble countertops. The residents are very friendly and respectful. and the Property Manager/Leasing Consultant, Kat is by far the best agent I have encountered in downtown. Eager to listen to you and she genuinely cares about the tenants, and who she is moving into the property. St. Louis Luxury/Gallery 400 really has a gem with Kat, no question about it."
"The location is in the heart of downtown which is convenient to stores, restaurants, public transportation, and entertainment. Unfortunately the violence occurring downtown makes it difficult to enjoy it. The panhandlers on the corner of 4th and Washington is daily with a horrible smelling port a potty is nerve wrecking. The building itself is old and has its history which shows in the apartments. I definitely would not call it luxury, I’ve seen, been in and toured many of actual luxury apartments and these definitely are not. Kat in the leasing office is nice. I recommend to make sure your apartment is fully finished before moving in because then it stops and your left with a or what I’ve been told cosmetic issues and still not taken care of. The resident portal is very simple and easy to use. The lobby is always maintained and cleaned. The middle elevator has not work since moving in and the freight and 2nd passenger elevator works off and on have to take stairs many of times, plus majority of the time smells of cigarette/marijuana which is annoying. The package room is a plus and your deliveries are secured. The rooftop is alright and nice to be able to relax. The fitness center on the 1st fl is convenient and heated pool is cool. Residents are nice and respectful when in passing you can feel it’s a community."
"Recently moved out after being a loyal resident of 6 years. Over all, I've had a pleasant experience. I will leave my opinion of each category below: Leasing Office- The leasing office have all been truly wonderful. Barb, Allison, Mike, Devin, Diane, Katherine. Brandon View LLC did a wonderful job handpicking these individuals. They all have great personalities and such friendly, caring, relatable people. And I am happy to express my positive experiences with each and every one of these individuals! During the move out, they will send a list of what all needs to be done. And then they will schedule a walk through where they will check to make sure everything is in order and you will know right then if there are any charges/how much will be deducted from your security deposit if applicable. Maintenance: Gilberto is a very talented individual. He has a strong work ethic and is the definition of 'the jack of all trades'. I truly hope he feels appreciated and is well compensated, he deserves it. Building/Apartment/Units: The very thing I love the most about the 3 different units I lived in over the course of 6 years is the interior of the apartments that really makes each unit feel like a home. I've had ZERO issues with pests, which is a shocker considering how old the building itself is. They did a really good job with keeping it clean and pest free. The elevators are a bit unpredictable though, there's been a few times I got stuck inside and others that I know as well. Sometimes they might take a long time to come after calling one. Location: The location is the reason I rated 4 stars out of 5. I really feel that bringing back on-site security officers will help retain existing residents, and may even attract some that are looking. The location itself is in a high crime area & with no security in the building. That reason alone would stop me from recommending this property to anyone that I know who is currently looking. Please seriously look into bringing back on-site security. The residents NEED to feel a sense of safety and some layer of protection or line of defense in their home. Thank you for taking the time to read! Take care."
"Recently moved here abruptly from Milwaukee back in the fall and the process was fairly easy thank to Katherine Fuegel. She set us up and got us approved in a very timely manner and also made the move in experience very easy and convenient for us. We were concerned about moving without physically viewing the building, but we are very pleased with the apartment, amenities as it was advertised online! And the support/hospitality from Katherine and the leasing office was the icing on the cake. Definitely recommend moving to this spot if you’re new to the city we are happy with our choice!"
