"It's messed up how they really do people. They don't answer phones, they don't call you back. They don't verify any information and even call you back. They take all your information stubs, bank information, copy of ID and they don't do nothing with it. I applied the week of the 26th for the Danforth townhome the following week the Danforth home was off the website and now it won't come available until October which was not told to me after I've told Lauren that I wanted to move in asap the month of March and she said perfectly fine. She then told me after I found out on my own about the Danforth home that she was going to ask the property manager and she was going to call me back. Never heard from her again. No text even on her personal mobile number and straight up just ignore people and people have no idea what people are going through and to take people 200 dollars and not give it back not verify any information not call back not answer phone calls is extremely sad and not right. All the reviews are true and I'm not the type to listen to reviews and go with my own experience but this is absolutely true. I know I won't get the 200 dollars back because hey that's the type of leasing agency I try to deal with. It was already problems anyways with people paying their rent online and the leasing agency saying oh well we don't have the payment or you have to pay an additional late fee because the system was done and we don't have payment, what kind of mess is that. One review stated this place was a SCAM and I highly agree because what is the 200 for when after the 200 they don't respond anymore. This place no good, don't waste your time if that 200 is really all you got."
"Doesn't even deserve the one star Terrible Management Advice: Fire everyone in leasing office and start fresh and hire better contract companies for landscaping. Actually do routine pest control beginning of summer, throughout til fall. Answer phone calls and emails. Nicer office staff and make sure they follow up to make sure tasks are completed. Compensate your residents for unlivable conditions. Have staff actually check the buildings for cleanliness. Audit your staffing every six months minimum. Send emails when water, or anything else will be shut off. Have your staff knowledgeable about the property. Take complaints seriously and taken care of them within 15days, atleast. No one should ever pay to live in the conditions left up to management while they get a new office built with money they need to put back into residents buildings."
"I had been a resident of Bella Vista for almost 3 years. There have been some ups and downs about the place that I would like to discuss with the public. I would rate my experience 2/5. I would have given it a 3/5 however, the type of customer service I received during my leave of the apartments left a negative impression on me. Also I do not need the generated response I will receive from this google review to call their office with my comments and concerns. They do not answer so do not bother to leave the generated response on my review. At best you will get the Birge and Held corporate office which does not help you gain access to the bella vista apartment. They will just tell you to call back during office hours for the building. Everything has to be done at the office. I waited til after I received my deposit back from this place to write my google review incase Charity Coleman decided to do something or charge me a fee that I did not acquire. I even left a 41 credit on my account leaving this place. When I first moved into the apartments, cosmetically everything looked fine. I Came to find out I needed my tub and shower in my two bedroom two full bathroom refurbished. I moved in in November. It wasn't until I sent their investment company Monarch (previous owners) regarding my issue about the unsafe conditions regarding the paint coming off the tub did someone from the office call. I did not get my tub and shower refurbished til February of the following year. I had left countless emails regarding this issue to maintenance and management. Also the toilets were not properly sealed causing a leak in the lower apartment below me. I felt bad about this issue. They came out to try and seal the toilet in one of my bathrooms but the issue still happened and the toilet kept rising. They were good about making sure the heat and air worked during the winter and summer seasons. I had put an order for my garbage disposal to come and get maintenanced but it took months causing me to call a company to come out and fix it. Next I would like to move on to the environment. I experienced a murder right across the apartments from me and I was not able to park in my apartments and had to be escorted by police to my apartments. That was beyond scary to see blood and all the police lights everywere. There were countless people sitting on my steps smoking and just hanging out because they did not have locks on the main doors. They just recently put phone operating locks on the doors february 2023. This was the first time ever there were locks on the door and these apartments have been here since I was in elementary school. I am 33 years old. I had a couple homeless men sleeping right outside my door for days. I would nicely ask these men not to sleep anywhere near my apartment and they would ignore me. Even before I left in June 2023 they were people still smoking in the hallways. They only clean the hallways once a month. There would be dead animals on the steps and no one would come out to clean them up. The way this place causes defamation of character is just wrong. They will leave bright color papers on your door stating your late on your rent or going to be evicted. They placed one on my door before and I was so livid. I went up there to explain to them that I had never been late on my rent and as a matter of fact I have always been 3 months ahead and that this type of mistake is not acceptable and a defamation to my character. The whole time they were saying I was wrong and that I was late. The whole time they were under the wrong file! No one apologized, they just rolled their eyes at me and said, "well if you knew it was wrong then why did you bother to come talk to us". Oh and to go back on the beginning regarding that $250.00 deposit after they take 50 dollars for the application fee. I read up on it and had them remove it. I did not accept charging me 250 dollars to run an application especially when I had to go obtain my own ledger because they kept failing to do so"
"First let me say. I just moved here from south Louisiana. The hard thing for me was searching from there and not knowing the areas. I lost over a thousand dollars in apartment fees for being constantly denied. Employer mistake I’ve found out. Bella Vista is the one that gave my family a chance. I’ve read the reviews and take them to heart. At first I was denied, but Ms Lakeisha called me and gave me an alternative. After being approved and was shown the apartment I fell in love. The square footage is small, but I was surprised at how spacious it is. The process overall was a little nerve racking, but I did understand every step of the way. She always answered all of my questions and concerns and went above and beyond for us. Anytime I hit an obstacle, she helped me figure out a way. I am very pleased and again, thank you Bella Vista for giving us a chance."
"Absolutely terrible. Live here now and its sucks so bad. 1. Maintenance! Never know how long it will take. CAN TAKE MONTHS! 2. No amount of extermination will get rid of anything (i mean anything) crawling in every building. 3. Good luck trying to get in contact with anyone even if you go to the office! 4. Ghetto, ghetto, ghetto people live here. 5. They only care about the money don’t care about you! Quick to see bout that money but slow to see about that mold??? 6. Hallways stink and are dirty! Only some buildings have locks and prevent people from coming to your door! BE SAFE! 7. They wont answer emails either …. 8. Mailbox broken? Good luck.. 9. Even the leasing agents be confused, way more confused than you. 10. Lastly… Just an overall headache to handle any business with your home."
