"Poor mgnt everyone in the office has a attitude. Even the male receptionist. I see why there is such a high turn over rate. Pool and gym are supposed to be included in the lease. But yet rent goes up every year..It's never been opened The lots have gotten back trashy, the lawn person no longer comes. There are abandoned cars all over . When u have a issue..it's make a apt so good luck if u have a 9-5. The lady with the African accent in the office is the rudest of them all. This will be my last term."

"The neighborhood is littered with trash and old food. It’s like it gets dirtier each year and I’ve been here for 6. I’m disgusted. 2023 Update: My Lease Ended in March. It is now mid December and I never received my deposit. Management sucks and is always changing. I have received numerous excuses and changes in the amount I was supposed to be receiving after burglars squatted and vandalized my apartment even with a police report I am somehow still liable.. Corporate has never returned my calls. Be mindful if you choose to live here."

"My relative lives here and I have often visited and even have stayed. The apartments are horrible many have black mold in them . The parking lots have large pot holes as well as the parking spaces aren’t large. They have a pool that’s never open nor is the workout space. Please also know there is no security on the premises. The customer service in the office is horrible everyone needs training or to be fired. When they do answer the phone they are not helpful nor accommodating. The only thing this place has going for it is the close proximity to the Uptown area."

"This place is awful and so is the management. Don't expect any standards. They won't enforce any rules on any on their unruly residents. So if you have bad neighbors, you will continue to that's for sure. If you like to come home to parking after a long shift at work.. well don't count on it. They'll lie straight to your face (even send out false notices) and say they are towing non residents and those without proper parking credentials...But they don't. So if you enjoy a safe neighborhood that discourages loitering then go elsewhere because who knows who will be lurking in the lots at night. There has been at least 2 shootings since I've been here and my neighbors claim many more over the years. But don't count on the office management to notify you of any of these issues so clearly they don't care about safety. They simply turn a blind eye and ignore the problems. Don't get me started on the condition of these units and the grounds that surround them. its down right negligent how this property is treated...everything is in poor condition and work orders take forever or just get ignored. It's my understand that some of those in the office aren't exactly serving your best interest and some were even recently let go. There's a bit of nepotism when it comes to people getting units.. ya know friends helping friends. I wouldn't be surprised if that applies to the awful parking situation as well since this is uptown. To be fair there are a couple people that seem to care. Listen ya'll, the location is good no doubt... and rent (especially in these times) can ben enticing. But "All that glitters is not gold" sometimes it's just a piece of junk and that's certainly the case for First Ward Place Apartment's. Be careful who you give your hard earned money to!"

"My boyfriend lives here (unfortunately) and on a visit my car was towed. There are 4 parking spots marked as Visitors and one on the end that should be but isn't. Late at night, anyone would think that it was but it isn't. Mind you, the grounds are absolutely disgusting and dilapidated but you're worried about one parking spot that is purposely kept to prey on people. Visitors and residents beware.
